Now that we're a couple months out from release, and people have had time to really feel invested in their character, I'm curious to hear from people who have spent a significant amount of time on one class and whether or not they wish they had rolled something different from the start.
My apologies to all the Dragon Knights out there. They only allow 10 poll options, otherwise I would have loved to include you guys (as well as a "I play class X and would not change" option, but that would require 16 poll options). Maybe we can start another thread some time discussing my DK players would ever switch to another class. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing what people have to say in the comments! Thanks!

Because of how their skills work and so on. The only thing i like about my templar is the spear skills , that is it.
Now i think having the DK skills would have been a better pick.

✭I *wanted* to be a Templar. But I couldn't get templar to work for me. So I made a Nightblade, and have done really well with it, even when others said it couldn't be done.
I don't root for underdogs just to do so. But I love proving doomsayers and min-maxers wrong.

XBOX NARuze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.
This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.0 -
I play DK and it my favourite class. I have tries other classes and most fun one is nightblade. Even and low levels I love teleporting between mobs and just going all out duel weild on them.Who are you to question why your god does not want me to believe in him?0 -

✭✭I Play Templar (melee Stamina build) and a Sorcerer (Conjuring & heal Magicka build) and a Nightblade (ranged and melee Stamina) and I am very happy with all of them.

I almost have him the way I want him to be, I just hope they buff the weapon skills and heavy armor lines so that my melee skills aren't purely filler.I can has typing!0 -
Humor✭✭✭My main is a Templar, and I would rather be a Templar.
Why? Because, with all the bragging of every class out there, I seem to view things differently from my perspective on how strong classes are PVE wise anyways.
People claim others are stronger, but from my experience through vet ranks and such, I clearly take out enemies much faster than a Sorcerer, or Dragon Knight.
I'm also not too sure why people claim Templars burn through Magicka like crazy either, because if anything, I never run out of Magicka, not even in dungeons. I barely have to pop a Magicka potion.
All about mix and match, Magicka skills combo'd with Stamina, that right there, is key to being a Templar.
Of course, that's my opinion.
On a side note, I'd like to be a Sorcerer, mainly due to conjuration, but hopefully in due time, Spellcrafting will quench my thirst to become a Conjurer, however, I'm still getting the feeling there's some kind of "catch" behind that system.2 -

✭✭✭I am a NB and i am happy with my choice. But instead of being a rogue, i'd rather be a Ranger. But Ranger is not a class but a lifestyle. So NB is fine. Although i would like skills like tracking, camping and foraging.٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

Karnus✭✭✭✭Dragon Knight. This poll amuses me.I've always played tanky/semi tanky Melee dps as my main in every mmo that I've played so the DK was the obvious choice. I had no idea that it might be considered "OP". I do roll with heavy armor/melee weapons only though because that's what I enjoy. If I ever decide to play ranged dps I'll go with sorc.
In most of the other MMOs I've played though I have always ended up leveling a tanky tank and a healer alts as well to have something for every group/situation needed, but ESO is really not much of a group game so my DK is it so far, I'm even leveling all crafts on it.Formerly Karnus, the Marauder in Warhammer.1 -

I haven't regretted it, but I've got a total of 16 characters I've been leveling, including multiples of each class (and at least 1 of each race), and frankly I've been enjoying playing all of them. ✭Well I don't know what character would be considered my main.
I have 2 characters. The character that I created at launch is a Breton Sorcerer. Was level 12, but I finally picked him up for the first time in months tonight and got him to 13.
The one that I'm currently playing is a Wood Elf Nightblade. He's my highest level - level 18.
I like them both, and the builds that I have for them offer different playstyles, so it's hard for me to determine which is my favorite, and which I'd rather be. I have some similarities between the 2, but with certain differences between them that make them stand out.0
