So either answer is fine, as I'm starting to think the guild system isn't for me.
I personally don't think 5 is too many as such. I am in a PvE guild like I said but I have then created a PvP guild as a spin off to the original guild. I am still fully loyal to the PvE guild, but then I play to socialise & group & I think a lot of players just aren't interested in it. I managed to do a Cyrodil run with some guildies last night but could only get a 5 strong group together out of 20 players online & the situation is even worse when trying to form a PvE group. I just wish players wouldn't join a PvE/PvP guild if they are not planning on grouping after all I see no other benefit from joining a guild apart from the store but there are many trading guilds for that. I would prefer a 20 member guild (we have 68) where players interact & group than a large guild where no-one does.

I would really suggest doing that...im sure there are tons of people who have no clue, especially the people who came from steam that might not have been following the game since development.
I had no clue, I suspected that every guild had multiple chats, so if I wanted to chat with ebonheart pve'ers level range 15-20 I could go to guild2 chat for instance.
anywhoo...when I log on later im gonna be a guild spam bots wet dream. first 4 are getting me to pm them (except that guy who advertises the guilds sexuality..doesn't have a place in game)
im actually...very happy to hear this...so I can have a pvp guild, a pve guild...and a trade guild....
this is a great system btw....

Both PvE guilds I'm in are close to the 500 mark and I've been with one of them since the beginning. I don't mind helping out and joining in activities when I have time, but lately all I've been doing is helping other people when I want to pursue my own entertainment. The more I play with people, the less I want to play with people. Not because there's anything wrong with them, it's just mentally exhausting for me and I want to play alone.
I need MORE trade guild access...

Hah , this would be really nice, but zen decided we should instead just change the name of most guilds to "muted people who may have items i want".
I gave up on this already , i just spend my "guild" slots.
