So, you can only respec skills, not health/magicka/stamina??

My build with equal distribution of magicka/health/stamina is increasingly proven unfeasible in veteran content... So I decided to swallow my pride and go to Mournhold to respec - and discovered that you can only respec skills... So, basically, my Templar is s-o-l in vet areas? :-/

You can reset your attributes too, check the other shrines in the same place :)

Pretty sure it's Shrine of Stendarr for skills reset, and Auriel is for stam/magicka/health reset. But yeah, you can do either or both.

The attribute point and skill reset shrines in Mournhold are not next to Mara. You'll need to go inside a building, if memory serves (it may not!). Will be marked on a map - look for a map marker that looks a bit different... like a shrine/altar. It's definitely in Mournhold and on the map.

The mobs in vet areas hit much harder. The vet areas force you dodge and block and not face tank. If you have not done it yet I suggest getting what defensive skills you can to help you.

If your in a Veteran zone power attacks will do that.
Some will actually onehit you, or stun you long enough to be killed with no way to break out of the stun, forgot the name of that one but if you don't interrupt it its probably a death sentence.

    FYI on respec...

My main is a ww and I was thinking of switching to vamp for the new dyes so I asked CS if I would lose my ww dye if I switched before the dye update and learned something new.

"My name is Dan, a representative a the the elder Scrolls Online. Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand you are worried about losing an achievement for the future dye update. Rest assured, achievements cannot be undone, so you will still have that achievement if you decided to switch to a vampire. I would suggest however that you respec before making the switch. Once cured your spent skill points will net be refunded, unless you respec first."

I'm currently VR5 so the cost of respec is my 1st born, an arm, and a leg from the knee down so I had no idea this was even possible and would have been a little upset if I lost 10 skill points once cured. They really need to explain things a little better.

I notice that the guy didn't actually answer the question though. Sure, you won't lose any achievement you have, but the achievement for WW doesn't exist yet, so the answer doesn't apply to that one. You may want to mention this and ask for clarification.

I think the reason the skill points aren't refunded is because you may want to become a WW again, and then the skills will be ready for you straight away. I agree that it is not clearly stated that this is the case though; I'm not even sure whether it says so in-game or not.

I thought I was the only one who noticed the vague CS answers. I have decided to wait until the update before changing to vamp. My experience with the lost achievements after an earlier update has made me a little gun shy.

According to the quakecon panel discussion whathaveyou the cost of respecs will be dropping for a period after the next patch or one after since there have been so many changes. So hang tight.
