Question about freezing your account for a months

If I freeze my account (unsub temporarily, due to being busy etc) for a month is my research equipment still going to continue over that time or also be freezed until my account restarts? Also can other people see that you have unsubbed or is it just going to be offline time they can see?

I assume all research will continue, but I can't say that for certain.

Also, if you unsubscribe, you won't be able to post on the forums, but everyone in-game will simply see you as "offline".

Yeah I was just wondering about my research really. I will be unable to play for around 3 weeks anyway so paying for a months and only being able to play for 1 week is a waste of money. But obviously I would like my 25d of research to continue over that time that is why I am asking really (also I don't want to be kicked from my guild because they see I am unsubbed that's why I was asking if they only see me as Offline or anyhting else)

Now I would have assumed that all research would be frozen.

And no, you can't tell if someone has unsubbed.

ETA: I have a similar dilemma when my sub comes up shortly before a vacation. It's not quite as long as your absence though, so I shall probably resub and keep my research going.

I honestly do not know if research continues or not. I bet @ZOS_GinaBruno knows.

    It's only $15, I'd just stay subbed.

If you unsubscribe and your game time is all gone, I'm going to bet that it freezes research. Not 100% sure though.

I would bet no. I doubt really anything for your character in game changes. You account is just no longer able to log on.

And honestly Id be surprised if it is even something they thought of.

Now they will probably come in and prove me wrong.

If you are in that much of a conundrum about a $15 subscription, I'd say you need to be doing other things besides playing video games.

He is thats why he asked the question. Why pay for something your not going to use.

Would you keep paying if you cant play?

    Research does not continue.

The state of your character/s is frozen from the last day your sub runs out until you renew.

Your account will show as offline to you contacts/guild etc...

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Do you know that from experience @TaffyIX?

And Oh Boy... that was never my point. I literally asked this question to see if I would pay the sub for my research to continue or unsub for the months if my research goes on anyway. Enjoying video games has nothing to do with having money (just look at all the sales) and it is just a waste of money to spend money on something you can't use. Not in relation to games but in general. Why should I buy a foot-long subway if I will only eat half a foot-long. I understand that you are not a person that money matters to but in my case I do want my money worth of time in a game or at least my research to continue if it doesn't in an unsubbed state or I take a break if I know I won't be able to play and still get my research finished. I would even do that if I would have millions on my account simply because I don't blow money out of the window.

You can still post after your sub expires. As far as I know, the forum never locked people out despite the rules stating otherwise.

I suggest you inform your guild that you're going on vacation or whatever, so they don't kick you. If your guild has a policy of pruning inactive members, they're not going to wonder why you're offline, they'll just kick you like anyone else if they don't know what's happening.

There had been other posts about this. Use search. If you unsub ongoing research traits will STOP and it is just.

If money isn't the issue and you're just worried about getting value for your $15, then don't worry, you *are* getting value by having your research continue. It's not "wasted" money.

If money really is the issue, then go out and mow a couple of extra lawns or something.

I'm amazed to see the cruelty of some answers. For some people 15 dollards to use for free time and enjoyment IS a big deal. There is no shame with that, and there is no reason to trow despitful comments.

To answer your question @Kayira I think the research is not frozen. I had frozen my account for the duration of my hollidays and it doesn't seem that I had any research going on when I came back. I could not swear it though.

To everyone who is also wondering. I send a message to support that has been their answer:

    Greetings,

Thank you for contacting us with this question. It is my understanding that you researches will continue to go on whether you are subscribed or not.

If anyone has personal experience with it I would love to hear if it did continue for you as it seemed to have done for @Elloa‌.

Although if you check your friends list and see that they haven't been online for two months, it is a pretty good hint...
