Aedra armors

Not sure if I spelled it right, but how about some Aedra love for armors. I personally would like to see some. Maybe they can incorporate the mage light skill into it or something. Or have a design like glowing trim lines that look like mazes or Dohvakin words or something

Well most Aedra became the Aldmeri, but I guess they could come up with something for the others, might be a hodge-podge style though.

I was just thinking -- we are fighting daedra most of the time and we get a daedra motif. Some would like to stay "in the light" than go to the dark side lol

Well, not all Daedra are evil, Meridia and Azura are quite good, and Nocturnal and a few others are neutral rather than evil.

But something along the lines of the Knights of the Nine Armour could work, obviously it would just be a style, and they would need to have Light and medium. And personally I would change the helmet.

They could also add something like Vigilants of Stendarr's armour or the Snow elves armour (similar to Gerebor's in Dawnguard). But as I said it might end up as a hodge-podge style.

The problem is that Aedra don't really have a style. The Daedra have form and are manifested into individual forms. The Aedra very rarely take physical form and they don't really show up with unique style when they do. You have to remember that the Aedra basically are the Mundus and the laws that govern it. Daedra create and wear armor and clothing so what would an Aedric style be based on??

Do remember, Meridia is not even a Daedra.
She's actually an Aedra who left alongside Magnus, then took a detour and made a realm in Oblivion.

So I guess the closest to an Aedra armor would be whatever the Aurorans wear.
Or Alternatively what the Altmer Aedra like Auri-El and Trinimac used to wear.

Where is that information found? I know that a former developer posted something about it, but I'm afraid that doesn't amount to much. It isn't part of the lore unless it shows up in the games because the developers are more free to make changes when they need to for the story.

It's like the idea that Tiber Septim terraformed Cyrodiil. The in game lore doesn't support it and it wouldn't be an accepted theory except for a completely out of game statement.

The Altmer and all other Mer are descended from the Aldmeri, who are descended from the Ehlnofey (as are Men). It is likely that their armor was/is already based on the style their hero goes wore, so you can make arguments that Altmer and Ancient Elf is what you're looking for.

The information regarding Meridia is here:
    http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Exegesis_of_Merid-Nunda

And the Tiber Septim terraforming Cyrodiil is canon. It's referenced in Skyrim and Morrowind portrays the area as being Jungle once.

Even more perfect -- Make symbols on all the pieces of the Mundus stones all around. Maybe even add 1 or 2% more bonus to the mundus stone

The Aedra were the dumb et'Ada who stayed in Nirn, they come from Aetherius and we have practically had no contact with their kind since i don't remember which era, although you could say the Aedra are already dead and their essences are what's left of them (time itself and the Elder Scrolls, although as you can see time breaks very often in the game's universe).

Looking at the discussion about Meridia up there, it is also believed Meridia wanted to support mortals by staying in Oblivion (all the et'Ada hated Mundus, and may as well destroy it if they have the chance) so she could have direct contact and not lose her divine power over time, although she's Daedric energy now.

Do you mind? I'm busy doing the fishstick, it's a very delicate state of mind.

I think it's not really relevant to talk about 'death' in relation to either aedra or daedra. The former never appears in physical form and for the latter the loss of physical form means just a trip back to Oblivion.

I am just wanting something that represents good for once in a game. I know this is a fantasy and all, but every game I have ever played (which isn't really that many) all seem to favor evil looking armor and such things.

Would like to see something other than evil looking armor, although they probably wouldn't look that appealing to everyone.
