Craglorn as a VR1 single player can be exciting, too :-)

Hello :-)
I just want to share my experience I've had in Craglorn just yesterday.
I'd say 99% of my gaming time I'm a single player, and I'm only VR1 (with 2 of my characters). But I wanted to get to see Craglorn as well, of course. So I headed to Mournhold for the portal to open up to me.

Well, there's no quest or dungeon you can actually do since unexceptionally everything is for groups only. You cannot even enter a dungeon in the first place, trying to collect the skyshards on your own like I did in public dungeons sometimes. And there's no way you could fight against VR11 creatures and enemies at VR1.

BUT, just sneaking around and maybe searching for crafting materials can be so exciting. Really! It feels even kinda "real", to actually avoid dangerous situations and get through alive and unseen.
And this gameworld area looks sooo fantastic and breathtaking, it can be so relaxing just watching the scenery. While being there, in my apartment it was 30° Celsius and the fans were running, this made it even more immersive.

For not just aimlessly running, or better, sneaking around, I set my goal to reach all the wayshrines. I guess I did, but I'm not quite sure

And I found some chests also; one of them contained a blue Healing staff VR1 which my other VR character needs, so I got lucky^^ Ok, purple would have been better, but I was happy with the blue one already since it's still a huge upgrade to my current staff.

If you are a passionate "screenshot taker" like I am, this is your place to be. ;-) (I'm also a hobby photographer, maybe that's why I love doing this^^). I guess in a total I took about 20.000 - 30.000 screenshots from the game I've seen so far, it couldn't look and feel any better..

I definitely agree that they did an outstanding job creating the atmosphere in ESO.

They did. And to me it even looks and feels better than Skyrim using ENB.

I remember i collected all skyshards in Craglorn when i was vr1 so yes it can be done. Sneak and prepare a dozen of soul gems.

Thanks for sharing that, Raygee, it's hugely encouraging for those of us taking our time on our own to work our way through the world soaking up the lore and enjoying the proverbial journey rather than instantly seeking the destination.

@areoHotah I couldn't enter the dungeons where the skyshards are placed since I was not in a group. So I guess you were VR1 but not alone then?^^

Nope has nothing to do with being in a group. These are just like any other Delve in the game. The only difference is they're instanced to you or you and your party and tuned for 4 players. I got all but 1 Skyshard from the Delves in Craglorn the day it launched by sneaking wearing 7pc Medium armor with 3pc Nightshade (I was VR6 that day), being a Wood Elf with Vampire and Concealed Weapon via NB as well as Retreating Maneuvers to burst through a little faster. I didn't die once even pulling aggro a couple times.

Also there are videos of VR1's soloing 6 packs in Craglorn so yes that can be done too. And you CAN do the quests there, but it will get mighty difficult in a hurry solo.

Wait...by gunning straight for the group only VR10 content as a VR1 solo? That is how one "works their way through"? This the paragon of patience your gushing over? In your haste to slam how other people choose to play, you succeeded in saying something really dumb. If you want to solo an MMO from beginning to end, just do it, and stop grandstanding on the forums.

But when I tried to enter a dungeon, the "open" below a door's name was greyed out, I could not enter. So I assume I need to get quests first for getting access to these dungeons.
But I'm also happy already just by sneaking through the area and enjoy the environment.

You can get all but one of the public dungeon skyshards by yourself, actually, if you are a nightblade. There's one you need another person to kite the mobs while you grab the shard tho.

It's this, and that is the Delve with a large square room just to the right of the entrance that's filled with Dwemer machines and it auto-pulls the whole room.

I have a feeling you went to the wrong door(s). There are several doors in Craglorn that are actually the exit to certain Delves and it would show as a grayed out 'Open'.
