Duelers gonna Duel. Leave them alone, as there's far more important things to do in Cyrodiil.

I could go over why dueling doesn't effect you (It's hosted in a 100% DC controlled campaign) but I am doublful you will listen.
I am going to guess that you are one of these bloodthorn DC that wants to stop us because (Snip) the zerg mother told you to. Looking at your screen in the death recap I would say this is correct.
Duelists will always keep to themselves. And judging by the people and how well they play in this guild I wouldent provoke them.
But bringing the forum war was funny to see.

Zergmother Natalie pooping in people's cornflakes again?
That girl needs to get a new hobby.

Like when Fireshot dueled Emp at the time Zazeer and Zaz got *** on... Super funny.
I'm not on your campaign, so can't comment on that part. However duelling in Cyro irks me a bit as the spots they take up in the population (especially when it's locked) could be better used by someone who wants to help the alliance out rather.
Another point is them setting up the camps, interfering with setting up camps which are required for defense/attacks, basically again not helping or rather even disturbing campaign work....

You may notice if you read the thread that this is happening on a dead (read: unicolor) campaign, so it affects literally no one.
The thread isn't about Bloodthorn, it's about dueling in general.
Many attempts have been made to take Sejanus outpost, are you going to try and tell me those people don't use the dueling camps as a jump off point?
I still haven't seen any reason why I shouldn't continue to burn enemy forward camps that I find in Cyrodiil. I'm killing time, doing scouting missions, waiting for EP to do their daily fail at Kingscrest lumbermill.
If you feel like dueling is your god given right, I feel like disrupting it is mine. Condemning my actions is pretty hypocritical. I'm not telling you guys to stop dueling, I'm just declaring you my enemy.

ERMAHGERD SERJANOOS!
Seriously. It's an outpost on a dead campaign.
Do you know how unseriously those of us from the active campaigns take complaints of losing anything? Oh dear God, you might not get your +399 per hour added to your scoreboard. Maybe if they take a keep or two from there, you might not get your +10% AP gain, but it will only be +9%.
Well, shucks and gee willickers, that sounds like a real serious issue there, sport.
(And being resident of Bloodthorn cycle 1, I really, really feel no sympathy for you. Your server is dead for a reason.)

This.
However, taking all six imperial keeps with a ninja raid....

I would listen, but I wouldn't care. I just dislike dueling in Cyrodiil, my home campaign(Bloodthorn) especially. I hated dueling from the start, it was just a bonus when I became friends with Nat and found out her group shares my disgust for the activity.
Every day, our scouting missions send us to Drakelowe, the closest point in the network is Sejanus, therefore many times a day DC players travel a route that leads directly through your dueling grounds. You had better believe I'm going to pick up those extra AP from burning your camps. If you guys can't be bothered to defend your camps against people like me, all the better.
That screen was a death recap. I sneaked into the area, burned the AD & EP camps, then stood there doing /lol over and over until they figured out who to kill. Then, instead of worrying about me, they just went back to dueling, so I went and got a drink, went to the bathroom, then came back and saw someone trying to revive me. Instead I revived at that DC camp & casually strolled over to the AD camp and burned it right in front of two of them. They tried to attack me at that point, so all I did was pop the shadow ability over and over until they setup another camp, which I promptly burned. Eventually I ended up killing the AD(VR12) who was attempting to kill me(VR4) because it was taking too long. I laughed, told them I'd be back later and rode away on my horse. Came back today and did it all again a couple times.
I don't care if duelers will keep dueling, and if you guys consider my efforts a big waste of time. If I can keep burning your camps, I'm going to. Why wouldn't I?
Sincerely, Sadiaa

and I will argue with you for a bit.
1. you sound paranoid and delusional; when you say these dueling grounds are really "drop off points". Instead of just saying they do, how about you "Stroll" on over there(without attacking, as im sure they will eventually grow tired of you and just steamroll you) and spy on them for a few hours(you play on a campaign, where all you do is scout missions for AP, you have nothing better to do) and see if they really DO use it as a "drop off point". if they actually DO, so be it. but you have yet to describe ANY instances where these people have teamed up and attacked a location near their dueling grounds, so im pretty sure they ARE NOT using it as a spawn point for an attack.
2. im curious. If these people changed their dueling ground location, would you leave them be, to play the game they are paying a sub model for, as they want? or would you spend all that time tracking them down, just to grieve them? you don't have to like what they do. but you also don't have to go grieve them just to (cant say it) them off, for the fun of it.
so its literally DIRECTLY in your scout mission path? you cant go around, at all? that must really suck! "I do scout missions for downtime" do you really expect me to believe that? you are telling me, you. are on a dead campaign, where your alliance is already completely dominant, and you are doing scout mission, just for the heck of doing it? I hope you realize how..... screw it, ill say it, stupid, that sounds. you really like riding for 20-30 mins, and pressing "E" for hours, without stopping? "they took sej" so those two alliances teamed up, and took sej? is that what happened, or were you just not there and it was actually one alliance that just decided to have a go at it? please post a video of these alleged "traitors" working with your enemies taking sej.NookyZooky wrote: »OK. let me get this straight. you do scouting missions, in a campaign that is 100% controlled by your faction. you see a bunch of people dueling in some random place that just happens to be in your scouting path. so you decide to interfere with their dueling, I am going to assume you are actually serious(note I said, "assume" I really think you are just trolling, but im bored, so I will feed you)

Some mighty big assumptions in that post. I like how I mention that their dueling grounds are directly in the path that everyone takes to scout Drakelowe, and suddenly all I do is farm AP in an empty campaign. No, I do that stuff in the down time, if EP would stop dueling and start attacking, I wouldn't even bother. If I really want some action, I'll guest on Wabba or DB. I certainly did not accumulate almost 400k score in the last few weeks by doing scouting missions over and over.
The comment I made about them taking Sejanus was just an example of how it does effect the rest of us. If we(open world PVP'ers) decide to post up at the EP gates to see where the enemy is going to attack next(and they do attack on Bloodthorn, despite what the dueling propagandists try to claim) we end up seeing a lot of people suiciding on our guards and I assume they revive at the dueling camp. Weather or not they want to duel, they have the option to spawn on those camps. If we don't burn the camps, they WILL be used against us at some point. Maybe not every time, maybe not all the time, but if we tolerate their presence, it will inevitably happen sooner or later. It's not the end of the world or anything, but to say dueling camps don't effect the rest of the campaign is utter nonsense.
If they changed their location to somewhere that was out of the way, I doubt I would go there as often as I do now. Currently they're doing their little duels out in the open, camp marked on map, for all to see. That's just asking for trouble. The DC duelers can't be bothered to ride their horses for two minutes from Sejanus keep, they have to have their camp placed 10meters from where they die. They make no effort to hide their activity, then they complain when I disrupt it.
