Invisible Dragons.... that explains the lag!!! It was caused by a nearby invisible dragon!smeeprocketnub19_ESO wrote: »There are dragons they just fly really really high up, and the ones that fly low to the ground are invisible!
Rework Veteran rank quests in opposing faction lands to be spy-like, sabataging and undermining that opposing faction. Increased replayability.
time capsule telling me to not roll templar or nightblade when game launched

Umm...spoiler alert.....
But didn't the Prophet show us a memory where Varen Aquilerios(or however the name is spelled) attempted to BECOME a dragonborn to light some kind of fires and rightfully sit the throne of emporer?
So there -are- dragonborn, insofar as they're not an unknown thing to this era/time but a player cannot become one.
Edit:
Almost forgot to mention the relevant idea I had for posting in this thread:
Player housing. Not tied to anything, either. You don't have to be in a guild, don't have to PvP, you can just purchase housing. And don't make it godsawful expensive, either.

Unless they clear things up in TES VI and reveal that our Dragonborn became emperor for a while, and relit those fires (assuming they were unlit in Skyrim.)

All Dragonborn have the blood and soul of a dragon, which is a blessing bestowed by Akatosh. Only a few of them have knowledge of the Thu'um though. All Emperors were Dragonborn (up until Martin Septim), but not all Dragonborn were Emperors.
The Dragonfires were destroyed in Oblivion, and no longer exist at the time Skyrim takes place.

Uhm, I thought there was a slight, but more substantial difference than the Thu'um (which has to be learned either way, it's just easier for the dragonborn to do it than run of the mill Nords.) Mr Stormcloak did train up with the Greybeards, yes?
Mmm, is it a genetic thing? Or can anyone pop out as Dragonborn? (Skyrim gameplay aside that allows any race to be one, that is.)
Anyway, I thought I remembered a character (possibly during the main quest) explaining at least some of this, but I don't feel like playing through again to try to find one or two lines of dialogue.

Mortals favored by Akatosh can become Dragonborn through his blessing, which I think is what Varen Aquilarios tried to do (very proactively). Once they become Dragonborn they gain the blood and soul of a dragon, and this is passed down to their descendants (such as in the Septim dynasty), making them Dragonborn as well. I don't think the Dragonborn Emperors are a different kind of Dragonborn... I believe there's only one kind. The ability to use Thu'um and absorb dragon souls varies though.
Children NPCs.

Only Nords and Dragonborn can use Shouts, and there are no Dragonborn in this game. So it would be for one race only.

Is that true? The prophet was using the amulet of kings to become dragonborn wasn't he? he's imperial. Not to mention you can play all these same races in skyrim.
