Elder Wars 2 Volume 2 (AoE Caps are a problem)

  • sevcik.miroslaveb17_ESO
Caps are not a problem. Problem are AOE op damage spells itself and no player collision. This closed doors to any standard military tactics.
You will never see guys with shields in blocking possition marching forward and covering archers behind them by doing this.
Why? Because then rainbow train will run THROUGH them and wipe them with 2 button mashes.

And the worst thing is... Majority of ESO pvp community want to have OP AOEs and keep playing that silly "tactic"

I have lost all hopes for this game. ESO PVP is number two failure right behind BF4.

I never knew this was going on in PvP (I've been away for a while) but abusing mechanics like this is horrible, especially when it even causes lag.

Create the game like, make it so you have to target a target to put the AOE on, you have to be in range to apply the aoe and the friends around him or her if in range will be hurt by it.

Makes sense for counter zergs to spread out as the targetted one which the AOE will implode/explode around could have all his friends running in 4 different directions cordinated.

Further more insert a target of target thing to the game working on enemy players as well, could have a scout pointing out who they are mainly going after and by that create a fox hunt, employ a couple of more scouts if in need be.

Also all armor you would need to have at least 5 pieces of that type of armor equipped to be able to use its special skill.

Buff Heavy & Medium armor in a degree it would competete with light armor on equal base but in each their way for diversity.

A few simple things can fix alot of things, having AOE with no caps on is too extreme and to close on being the next future exploit of something getting broken as well to be exploited like crazy.

Some of us are old enough to remember how vampires was when they where bugged in a way they did crazy stuff, by having alot of small things and if one of them break into pieces due to a patch.. it is at least not huge area wide, but more controlled and thus still making the game playable.

Only way to prevent Zerg balls is to have friendly fire apply out going AOE damage debuff.

DAOC was same way, chances are if you were doing 8vs75, and you didn't kill a vast majority in the initial bomb, you were going to die.

Against numbers like that, you pretty much have to get 70% of them instantly to stand a chance.

I did lots of bombing in Daoc mainly on mid and hib, as a guild we never thought that we could kill a zerg of 50+ what the plan was to gain a huge amount of RP's in a short space of time. Each bomb we did we would gain around 20k+ each and they got around 50rps each for killing us. It was also a good way to slow down the zerg to allow other groups to get to keeps that we as a realm thought they would hit next.

We normally ran a tank train and we use to take out 3 or 4 groups running together also, we only switched to the bombers when the huge zerg started to form up. In Eso its too spell crazy atm.

Death in Daoc gave you a debuff something that this game should have. Death atm is pointless, rezzing should be more beneficial then releasing to nearest keep hence zerg bombing in daoc not only slowed the zerg down it also weakened them!
    Patch 1.2.3 nerfed the game....
    Zergballing wrecked pvp......

    Now waiting for Camelot Unchained!!

Like I said, if you couldn't kill most of them at the start of the fight, you were going to die because they'd all spread and you'd have to worry about CCing them all. Of course it was a lot easier around SI times to do that, Most of the zergs were lower ranker back then...Eventually most of the zergs were nothing but RR10 people, usually Casters.... and if any of them got loose on the initial hit, you were going to die most likely.

At for the death part..Yeap..Game needs Rez Sickness bad

As soon as I see this stuff I log off. If these groups could be CCed it would be fine.

You should not be able to use Immovable while wearing 5 or more light armor pieces. This is the skill that makes these groups overpowered.

If I could slow them, and knock them down, it wouldn't be a problem, but since they are Immune 100% of the time it is broken as hell, and ZOS won't even acknowledge the problem.

It isn't fun, and I guarantee they've lost subs over this, just like they lost subs because of all the other overpowered stuff in PvP over the last few months that they take far too long to address.

While I do think that the CC immunity aspect of Immovable should be actived only when wearing 5 pieces of heavy armor, I'm not sure it would be enough.

See, the reason why you can't CC them is because your CC only targets 6 of them at most, so all the others are immune for free. Not even paying the stamina cost of Immovable or CCbreak.
