New skill lines only... No new classes...

I would get rid of classes altogether. Let the player pick 3 skill lines from the pool of available class related lines.

As a sorcerer, my goal is the battlemage - I don't like summoning, and I don't use dark magic. I would love some healing though - and it would be nice if I could choose, like in other ES games. It's not a problem though, I do understand why classes exist in ESO, but we probably shouldn't see any more of them, just more skill lines.

OK here's a couple more suggestions, this time with possible skill-trees to accompany them -

    Class - Warlock

    Skill-tree -
    Pyromancer - Fire based DPS
    Cryomancer - Frost based DPS
Elementalist - Nature based CC / DPS (mainly AOE)

    Class - Necromancer

    Skill-tree -
Blood Magic - (similar to siphon)
Summoner - Raise 'temporary' un-dead minions
Life Transfer - AOE health drains into group heals

    :/

High Elf Sorcerer VR12 - Destro / Resto Staff

NO New classes and I would remove the existing ones and make the game a real ES game... Having access to all the skill lines (minus racial passives) is a fundamental detail to an ES game.. A detail this game seriously needs to consider.. Having to choose a class blows IMO... Not having to do so is one thing that made ES games so fun...

I'm opposed to adding new classes as that would require me to start with a new character - unless they allowed you to change your class once the new one is released - but that's never going to happen...

I would LOVE the frost based dps skill tree though... and not necessarily for a mage.

Why do people like you feel the need to inflict your opinion on other people. The OP clearly stated this post is about new classes you would like to add to the game.
Yet, you (as like so many others) repeat the same boring reply "Don't want any classes.. blah blah)
There are numerous threads that talk about if classes should be in/be removed from the game. Why not post your comments there? At least then they would be on topic and not here in a frail attempt to derail the OPs thread !

There are multiple threads about this very topic.

Necromancers, Druids, Warlocks, Warriors etc etc are all relatively common mentions.

    Any of these : http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Classes.

Ultimately I'd love to see the removal of a class system and have 'skills' which you can specialise in (spell crafting seems to be the first step), but I'd settle for a Necromancer class.

I am the one attempting to derail this thread?

Something like Rift's Dominator. Throw down the equivalent of Storm Shackle and Traitorous Influence and watch the enemy zerg implode.

Storm Shackle: Single target. Roots target for a few seconds, then causes them to damage and snare 8 nearby allies whenever target moves.

Traitorous Influence: AOE spell, ground targeted. Applies Traitorous Influence effect to targets within the AOE. Any damaging or healing abilities used by those with TI damage 6 nearby allies and lower their mana, power and energy (basically damages HP, mana, power and energy).

Those two spells could do a great job of wiping out groups that like to stick close together, mainly in Conquest (Rift's totally boring version of Cyrodiil). If you don't spread out a Dominator could ruin your day. It's also perfect vs multiboxers.

Possibly quite OP in ESO, but ESO does have a huge zergball problem.

I'd ad 2 classes, to re-orient onto the traditional Warrior, Mage, Thief of TES rather than the Fighter, Cleric, Mage, Rogue D&D-esque thing they have going on now. Templar would move to the Warrior, add another Mage (Necromancer, or the defunct Warden they'd originally planned would be good; or something focused on Ice magic) and then a thief counterpart to the nightblade; maybe Ranger or Bard.

As for the idea that removing classes would make it more like a "true TES game"; every TES game had classes before Skyrim, and back in Arena you couldn't even customize them. TES didn't start with Skyrim, and it isn't the final word on what is and isn't TES.

    I would add a rogue/assassin type class.
The only substitute for victory is overkill.

A hunter class could probably work, have it geared towards archery, the ability to summon animals... Would be right at home with a Bosmer
