World bosses - does no-one care about them anymore?

I solo them when I come across them, or a lot of times roll up to a boss in the process of being solo'd

DK ult allows me to solo, due to high AOE damage.
Although I notice not many people tend to care for them anymore

Yes, WBs and Dolmens are solo-able on level. I believe I solo'd that troll, though it was a few levels ago. Actually, it may have been an ogre plus his mates, in which case I may have the Troll to come, but I can assure you I just got my final bit of exp to take me from VR9 to VR10 soloing WBs and Dolmens in Alik'r Desert.

If you followed the conversation, I already agreed that certain bosses will never be solo kills (for me, at least - I really have nothing to boast about (still laughing at that one)), but since the nerf most are perfectly do-able. It's ridiculous.

The only reason I can think of is because people solo the world bosses and I have no need to join up with others. I usually try to help out anyone who needs help.

I love world bosses but they can be soloed where as dolmens are much tougher. Only world boss that every gave me trouble were the Betties. They've been my nemesis since Morrowind.

I usually end up in a group that does all the WB and dolmens in 1 pass. Sometimes we'll do the pub dungeon quests and group challenge too (though I usually have to come back to clear the bosses that aren't up for Cheevo).

I do all the world bosses. If I'm out questing with my husband, we are enough to tackle any world boss we've come against. If I'm questing alone, I'll just hang out until another person is around, and tackle it that way (if I can't get it done myself).

I'm too low a level to do them really but I have chat turned off, not for immersion (and that isn't really a dirty word) but because the chat is mostly boring trade chatter I'm no interested in and the block of busy hard to read text is distracting.

With all the vet zones nerfed, and players power leveling from V1 to V12 in a few days in Craglorn, people are then going back and soloing the bosses for achievements once they are V12, so no one is calling out for help anymore, they are just 'bypassing' them until V12.

World bosses were soloable before the nerf, now they're even easier. Added to that is the fact there's no incentive to do them more than once.

Well, it's obvious that *you're* the "minority" that ESO was "catering to" when they "super-duper-nerfed" the VR zones! You ought to be ashamed of yourself! You ruined the game for the Master Race VR "gods" who raced to the finish line in the month or so after ESO's release — some helped along, of course, by taking advantage of holes in ESO's design in that first month or so.

That could be your build, level, or tactics. Most are actually easier than many of the quest bosses or solo anchors. WBs tend to be single targets that can be immobilized, stunned, or knocked back unlike some other bosses.

There is maybe half a handful (across all three factions) that are not solo-able (on level); for those few I usually respond to grouping requests.

But most bosses are pushovers now even on second VR alliance mode; I may die once or twice while slowly taking down a grouped setup but even that is way faster than waiting for a group to form.

Wrong mate, some people can actually solo any WB/dolmen on their lvl, even if WB is 3star with adds. Not sure you have seen it/know it, but Captain Bones in Shadowfen(for DC), he is vr 8 WB with 2 adds he rez during fight. Soloed it without problem, same as ALL WB, dolmens, delves and public dungeons ON MY LEVEL. I am atm VR11 and have done all solo.
So dont say it cant be done, not trying to insult you mate, but fact that you cant do it does not mean others cant. If you die at start mobs of dolmen it really does not mean that we all will die. You just need more practice(a lot more really)

Ofcourse I do them! I do discover every single location in the zone, do all the bosses, anchors, dungeons, also collect all skyshards and lorebooks. There is nothing I left behind in the zone I currently am.

Don't understand people who have half of the map undiscovered and just move onto the next zone, for me it feels like going againts nature

I go for world bosses occasionally. I only do less so now since they made there be a cooldown for boss loot. So even if I completed a public dungeon, if I go and decide to kill a world boss 10 minutes after that, I'll get pretty much crap loot.

sounds trivial but this applies to alot fo things that are considered bosses, even quest bosses trigger this cooldown.

well the "old" common grinding way was doing POIs. now its craglorn and nobody cares anymore about the old.

I try to do them all and noticed that some zone's are still pretty empty. If people quit playing vet 1 character before nerf, they get to higher level zone's sometimes. Some bosses are easy to do solo but if there are multiple bosses i don't even try.

I do them once for the achievement and don't bother. That being said if someone asks nicely in /zone I typically assist them, just because.

I think the VR nerf had a huge impact on the will to group on players. Its what I tried to point out before the patch hit.

As more people are isolated from others, as less they will interact with them. If you can do everything solo now, then even those world bosses wont bother you anymore if someone calls for help.

Sure some might still help, I do so - but the incentive to group is just gone now.

The flip side of that is that there were vocal players upset about being "forced to group" to progress in a game that has very poor grouping mechanics.

For the most part though, I do agree with you. The nerfed difficulty of the VR zones makes it less interesting to play, and the lack of reward for killing bosses makes repeating the experience less than desirable. This does make it more difficult to find people to help out with World Bosses, especially for those who may need it because they haven't optimized their build (which could devolve into another stick and dress discussion, let's not go there in this thread).

The game does seem lonelier and lonelier. I think the difficulty forced people to group up despite the poor grouping mechanics. Hopefully once Zeni improves the grouping mechanics (leveling to leader, sharing quests, staying in the same instances) the game will become more social.

The Gargoyle in Rivenspire was pretty tough. I had to wait until more players came by. While I waited, I kept sending my Volatile Familiar to attack it, and I'd watch it get slaughtered from a distance. I keep zone chat off because there's too much spam.

I don't really care for them but if its not too much of a hassle then ill kill them but if they keep killing me then forget it idc and yea your right I don't care about them lol
