Is there anyway to snare a hovering monster?

Does any skill lines have this ability, or is the only option is to use a stun ability?

You can stun them. For example, Crystal Shards for the sorcerer stuns them briefly. You cannot root or snare them, though.0 -

Nope, it doesn't snare them but you do get the speed bonus and deal damage over time on those creatures.Edited by Brasseurfb16_ESO on July 24, 2014 12:51PM0 -

✭Silver shards stuns them hovering things on Dolmens iirc, not a snare, but at least they can't attack, and only works on undead.0 -

Also a bow shot from Sneak will Stun them. There are perks to increase this stun time and damage from subsequent attacks depending on class and skill chosen.

Sandmanninja✭✭✭✭Volcanic Rune will CC them - blow any flying creature into the air and stun them for 3 seconds. Pretty fun to watch[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.

Victus✭✭✭Fossilize (can't remember what it is pre-morph) from a DK works on floating mobs too.

Srugzal✭✭✭✭✭Fully snare, no, but any ability/weapon with a frost component should have the potential to partially snare/slow down floaters, if I'm not mistaken. Shock abilities/weapons should apply stun. Try a frost staff with a shock enchantment, perhaps.
