Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Generally speaking, I hate quests.

I would imagine that allowing players who don't want to quest to have access to Veteran dungeons is something the devs would like to do. They probably just haven't figured out a way around it yet.

I think they are going to work on adding in more ways for players to level up without questing. It's just a matter of time before we get them.

I agree the re-playability factor for alts leaves something to be desired. I can sympathize with you. When I played on the PTS I had completed all of the Daggerfall Covenant content by the time that the game launched. While I was super excited to be playing, part of me was just feeling a total lack of motivation to have to start all over again. So, yes, something does need to be done about that.

Perhaps ZOS can change it so that if you complete all the quests including Cadwells Silver and Gold on your main character, the Veteran dungeons/ trials/ etc are automatically unlocked for all your characters once they reach the appropriate levels to do them. This would free players up to play their other characters in a different fashion than just by questing.

I'd also like to see wayshrine discovery account linked for this reason.

    I don't do quests.
I like to roam, kill a bit, pick a few flowers, kill a bit more pve pvp etc all whilst being alone.

The quests are the story, MMO-RPGs are about the story, this probably isn't going to go away. You have to decide will you plow through the quests to get at the Vet Dungeons, or will um... no, not got an alternative.

Some of us, like me the MMORPG are ALL about the PvP or something else.

I have no problem with PVP, and people who enjoy it, but the game is built around the story, so you have to dip your toes in every now and then. That's all.

    To the OP:

It all depends on what zone you want to do the dungeon in.

You have to complete "Cadwell's Silver" in order to unlock the next alliance vet zone (titled 'Cadwell's Gold'). For example:

If you are AD, you have to complete the EP story questline before the DC zones are open to you. If you are EP, you have to complete the DC story questline before the AD zones are open to you. Finally, if you are DC, you have to complete the AD story questline before the EP zones are open to you.

If you have done any of the above, then there is really no reason why you cannot enter any dungeon, instanced or not.

    I hope this helps.

This is probably the correct answer. You should be able to do vet BC, Spindle, and FG if you are in silver, but you would need to quest your way to gold to do the others.

Thankyou all for your input and you may be happy to know i've nearly finished the main quest line except for the 30 or so quests I have to do to free and collect people.
I am now quested out for a while and need to get back to doing things I like to do like, picking flowers, mining and killing those nasty enemy. heh
Once again, thankyou to all of you for your help.
    p.s
My lvl 9 vet did a whole lot and now my main toon will do it all.
I sure in hell wont be doing it all again on any of my other toons.
