temp healer

Hey guys, i am fairly new to this game, been playing about 2months. I have a v4 temp healer that i use almost exclusively for pvp. I would like some info on final healing build at v12 and what gear i should be aiming for. I currently have about 700k pvp points but the gear in Cyrodiil seems very unimpressive. I understands there are new sets or adjustments to current sets in the pipeline. I assume Legendary gear is where it's at but what set and how do i acquire it. Cheers

As long as this is a PvP character, probably does not matter much.

If you expect to do VR12 Dungeons and Trials, you should be aware that Templar DPS is currently in the bucket. So pretty much not wanted for Trials.

Dungeons are also problematic, because even though Templar is the strongest burst healer around, the lack of DPS and Magicka sustainability makes them somewhat unwanted there as well.

Currently the warlock 3 piece is invaluable, in Next content patch it's 3 piece bonus gets put into the 5 piece bonus...

Currently I run 3 piece warlock (dungeon drop), 3 piece willow's path (crafted), 4 piece twilight's embrace (crafted)... all gear with Impenetrable, and 2 resto staves with Precise...

My healing bar looks like this (I do not zerg, or run in larger groups, max of 6 people, normally just 4)

    1) Breath of life
    2) Efficient Purge
    3) Immovable
    4) Blazing Shield
    5) Radiant magelight

    Ult) Solar Prison/Soul Assault

I would avoid using any casted heals, you are asking to get interrupted and stunned. I play with a DK who plays support and he tosses out hots and shields. I guess if you don't have anyone who plays like that with you, you should probably slot mutagen.

That is what I currently run, results may vary.

Edit: added where gear comes from

Depends on how you want to build your Templar and the type of pvp you do. Hard to give advice with all the unknown variables.

Continue leveling like you have been and by time the patch hits you should be closer to VR12. At that time there will likely be many threads on this and other forums of the most optimal builds, so try to find one that fits your playstyle.

As a Templar I go for defense and as much magicka resource management as possible.

Thank you for the responses, i am not interested in dpsing unless i need too. In PVP i run with a massive group, as many as we can get, usually between 60-120 ish. It's not really zerging, we don't just charge into any particular keep or resource, everything is planned and done for a reason. As for ultimate, because i am solely a healer i spec the healing ult,it's fantastic in large groups and in keeps while taking flags.

People love to spread around the idea that temp resource pool is hard to manage. It's not. At all. But let the people spread that b.s.

    What heals do you use?

I have resource pool issues, but normally its caused by a tank who has no idea what block is and I have to keep dropping 2k heals on them. My last vet dugn run, the tank was a sorc in light armor and wow, he was better then 90% of other tanks I have done instances with.

Resource pool issues is caused by overhealing or players that you need to spam heals on as they are getting hit too much.

But I would love to know some other Templar's 'heal' layout as I am always looking to improve or try new ways.

    My heal bar is normally
    (1) Quick Siphon
    (2) Mutagen
    (3) Purifying Ritual
    (4) Breath of Life
    (5) Spell Symmetry or Sanguine Altar
(U)Flawless Dawnbreaker (for the 14% more weapon damage = more heals from heavy attacks) or Solar Disturbance
