crafted rings/necklaces?

Hi All,

Does anyone know whether/when they will add crafted rings and necklaces? This is simple addition and it could help to mitigate the effect of the upcoming changes among the crafted sets. All sets will need 5 items to get full effect. So we can have just one full set at a time if rings and necklaces are not crafted.
I watched available videos, but they never mentioned this. If someone have heart something about that - please share.

Thanks in advance.
Have a nice day.

They've said they will let us craft them, but haven't said when.

I read somewhere (a long long time ago now) that crafting jewelry was part of the original game design, but didn't make the release version. They were still intending to release this feature at some future point. I'm quite sure that game stability and bugfixes were the first priority post-release, then Craglorn; so I doubt the devs have had any spare cycles to work on this feature for a while yet.

Well, now they are talking about two more zones and additional spellrafting system. So they had a lot of spare cycles on hand :) They could spend some of that on simple addition like jewerly crafting.

As of the Quakecon video in which it was asked in the Q&A at the end, yes but it's fairly low on their priority list atm.

Since you can already loot rings with Magicka, Health and Stamina and then add any jewelry enchant to them I'm not sure how much difference it is going to make as far as mitigating the effect of upcoming set changes.

I would like to make crafted sets jewerly - ashen grip, etc. If you read the first post this is the main problem now when they increased number of items to get the full effect from 3 to 5 for ALL crafted sets.

They didn't increase the full effect from 3 to 5 on all crafted sets. In fact they added effects on 2 and 4 piece bonuses on quite a lot of them. A lot of people just went for the 3 piece bonus on sets like Willow's Path but there was still a 5 piece bonus.

I would think if they did have crafted jewelry it would have its own sets. I doubt they would just add jewelry in to the normal sets that would allow people to use 2 5 piece sets and a 2 piece set if you dual wield.

2 and 4 effects are useful, but if you have a look at all low level sets like ashen grip, night mother, etc, to get the full effect you need 5 items now instead of 3. I never saw same 3 sets left. All of them are 5 sets now. I would be glad to be mistaken :)

    Ashens Grip 1.3

    2 - 118 Health
    3 - 14 weapon damage
    4 - 4% weapon critical
    5 - Fiery Breath

    Ahens Grip 1.2

    3 - fiery breath
    5 - 14 Magicka recovery

So you have to have 5 pieces to get what you used to get with 3 but you also get a whole lot more. Also 3 wasn't the "full effect" it was just the 3 piece bonus which was moved to 5. Honeslty the new set looks a ton better to me.

    Night Mother 1.3

    2- 4% weapon crit
    3 - 4% spell crit
    4- 4% weapon crit
    5 Night mothers gaze

    Night Mother 1.2

    3 - Night mothers gaze
    5 - 5% spell crit

Again full effect is at 5 pieces just the 3 piece bonus moved to 5 but the new set still blows the old one out of the water.

The main thing here is main effect as you said. For that you need now 5 pieces instead of 3. Ashen grip was not changed (main effect is the same), so for the same effect you need to allocate 5 pieces instead of 3. This is what I am talking about. The rest is nice bonus, but I can get it with provisioning or something. But I cannot have the main effect of ashen grip with provisioning... This is why I think it is viable to have rings and necklaces added to the mix.
    Hope it helps.

I wish you could eat food that gives 118 health, 14 Weapon damage and 4% weapon crit!

I get you want more sets easier but I think people should be limited to not having more than one of those "main effects". Right now you are capped at 9 pieces of crafted gear if you dual weild. That makes you pick which special effect is most important to you. For the sake of balance I think that is important.

Only the world drop sets include jewelry (eg warlock set) So to get the most, you have one crafted set (5 slots) and one dropped set (5 slots, 3 are Jewelry)

The warlock set non jewelry pieces might be in high demand after patch 1.3 (unless people drop the set completely). Time to hard the first boss on the Trails again.

This is awesome idea about the food!! I really like it :) Re sets - now even for dual wield I have 9 slots, so only one main effect instead of two or even three before the changes... This is really bad and actually trashing the usage of crafted sets. Of course I'll make 4x2 sets, but it kinda destroy the purpose ...

To me all the "special effects" seem weak compared to the new additions on the sets except maybe warlock.
