Group Finder needs to be fixed or remade.

Nothing better than paying a monthly fee to sit in que for a dungeon for hours then to have a first timer VR1 in 50's gear pop into your group.
The group finder needs to be scrapped and remade cause the current one is not only buggy but it's clearly not used by many people. There needs to be more filters, and easier to access when putting a group together or something to attract more players into using it.
Right now lets say I'm the leader making the group, and in most cases I am. I find that all I do for almost an hour is sit there switching the dungeon looking in the tiers for players(in the group finder), spamming zone and porting to different areas to spam their zone chat. Then finally when I do get a group of 4 people!!!! Everyone needs another 10 to 20 min to go repair and clear their bags.... If the group is good and works well together then we'll end up doing 3-6 dungeon runs but if there's someone who fails to pull their own weight then it's right back to square one most of the time.
Another big issue is the voice... Why do we not have Voice over IP for 4man groups yet? If you don't want to talk that's fine don't, but if I'm leading and it's your first time doing this place and you don't want to listen then you wont be coming cause nothing is more annoying than having to type strategies out. Typing during a battle isn't an option because it's risky and chances are the other player wont be looking at the chat to be able to react to what's being said.
This game was meant for grouping up with your friends, everyone wanted a Skyrim where we could group with our friends and other players but it doesn't seem like that's the main focus anymore.
Vet area mobs were nerfed, everything is getting easier so it's solo'able...

✭✭✭✭✭Well, I haven't had any issues with getting groups together at VR levels, but a quick word on VOIPs:
No MMO to date (to my knowledge) has had an in-game VOIP that can compete with Vent or TS. And since players who really want to talk over mic already know about those programs, developers tend to not spend much time on developing a new protocol that no one will use. That said, I cleared Veteran Crypt of Hearts for the first time without voice chat in a pick-up group. We did just fine.----

I'm in 5 guilds at the moment and all of them have active players that do both pve and pvp. So yea I'll add that I'm spamming all the guild chats while I'm spamming zone chats as well looking for members.
You can't deny the bold truth that the current state of the Group Finder is garbage.3 -
FlinkeKlinge✭✭✭Well, maybe i´m just oldschool, but i never ever used a grouping tool in any mmorpg. If i wan´t a good group experience, i get into a guild with people that have the same mindset as myself. One that is active in Teamspeak everyday and has the same goals, may it be pvp or pve related....worked out everytime..."When you die, it just instantly robs life of many pleasures."

Azarul✭✭✭✭The problem is not the group tool. Its the fact that there is no reason to re-run any dungeon. Hence the fresh V1 is what your going to get mostly. I know this is a terrible terrible thing to say, but it needs some sort of reward like the other games heroics to buy things with.3 -

I have to agree. There are some things they can make better in the grouping tool but it doesn't matter if there is no incentive to group. They did mention that they will add some sort of incentive like a daily quest to re-run dungeons which will help a lot.0 -

Almost always we can work it out (as a Temp I can tank or heal, but like to run as DPS first time through stuff to learn fights.). But I have never gotten a finder group with someone set as wither tank or healer.1
