Forum Feature Suggestion: Notifications for Quotations

Quoting someone basically means answering them. Similarly to how you get notifications when someone mentions your @name, I'd like to be notified when someone quotes one of my comments, so I can follow up.
Currently, if we want to stay in the discussion, we have to go back to the threads and scan them for replies to our comments, which can be time consuming and pointless.
Thoughts?

Miflett✭✭✭I agree as well; just make it an check option so people have a choice. I like being able to back up the points I try to make, and it would be easier.1 -
SgtPepperUK✭✭✭Not all that many forums have this facility, in fact the only one that comes to mind is The Escapist's forums. That said, I do like that feature and find it handy so would wholeheartedly agree with implementing it here

✭✭It would be double edged. If you are being quoted every few seconds it would be extremely annoying. But if you are being quoted every now and then, it would be useful.

Same here.
I already don't like being notified that I was "mentioned" in a post every time someone quotes a post I was mentioned in. I can't imagine the wall of notifications I'd have to sift through if I received a notification every time I was quoted in a longer chain.----
