I don't see a difference in my weapon damage no matter how much stamina I have... Is this accurate?

Weapon Damage as a stat only scales by bonuses that explicitly impact Weapon Damage.

Stamina stat scales the damage modifier of weapon skills and left-click attacks though.

Stamina increases stamina based skill damage and the damage of light and heavy attacks but it does not reflect on the stats panel. Compared to magicka though, the difference is minimal.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Only way to really know would be to run some parses.

Stamina increases the Weapon Abilities damage by different values depending on the skill used.

    Example: 2-Handed Weapon:
Cleave needs ~20.7 Stamina to increase its base damage by 1.
Uppercut needs ~ 6.7 Stamina to increase its base damage by 1.

It does not matter if a player has 1000 stamina or 2000 stamina. It will still take 20.7 to increase Cleave by 1.

Of course that is before any passives or sets that increase damage like Heavy Weapons 6% increased damage.

For Staffs Max Magicka is what scales the abilities and not max stamina.

Thanks. But we are taking about light and heavy attacks. Still it's nice to know the scaling.

Given the way things have been so far, I would always take what the ability cards says with a grain of salt. They've been known to be wrong. A lot. Fine for deciding where to spend the next point you get while progressing, but no way to judge actual damage.

Get an add on that parses dps and run some tests, if you really want to get real data on what's really going on at particular stamina levels.
