They nerfed dungeon boss drops?

Since late April/early May? I killed many dungeon bosses today and only saw one green and a small handful of soul gems. That's it. The rest of the loot was trash white items and gold, and it took a very long time waiting for respawns.

It didn't used to be like this. Respawning was too fast, yes, but now the loot is terrible as well. It's overkill.

Is it a waste of time to do dungeons and camp the bosses now?

Camping them yes, a complete waste of time. Which is excellent for those of us who agree with ZOS that 'camping' shouldn't be a thing in an RPG.

I'm used to camping and farming in RPGs. Not that I'll miss camping, but where are we supposed to find steady sources of soul stones if bosses don't drop enough now?

I've had them in abundance since at least 'Lesser' levels which is from character L20 and I haven't needed to 'camp'.

Ehm loot in general in this game is awful. The only decent loot you get is in vet dungeons the BoP things. Apart from that it is better to make your own gear than anything that drops in game. I mean the blues you get from bosses are useless anyway as they have no set bonus. The only use they have is deconstructing them for the upgrading mats.
But loot and rewards is a general problem in this game.

Just pointing out that boss drops have not been nerfed, you can get multiple drops by killing the same boss multiple times, but you won't get anything from killing the same boss then standing there waiting for him to respawn before killing him again. Boss camping has been nerfed, not the bosses themselves. There are still ways to farm gems from bosses, I actually figured this out while working on the Slayer achievements, but I have no intention of sharing this secret in the forums because I do not wish to see boss campers reappearing. The only reason I'm even willing to admit that there is a way is because I know a lot of those campers out there have figured it out already and I've yet to have issues with campers doing so the new way because most of the time, they end up helping you now as opposed to hindering you.

The put a "loot lockout" in place. After the first month or so. As part of anti bot/farm measures. Because people complained about bots farming the Dungeon bosses at late night hours.

If you kill a boss you cannot get boss loot from delve/overworld bosses from soem time (10 minutes I think).
You still get quest items, minor gold and other "normal mob" loot as appropirate for your level.

The not setted loot from bosses is there to give you something cheap to repalce your old gear.
There are set bonuses you can only get via drop.
And wheter you craft a white and improove it too Gold or find a blue and improove it too gold is rather irrelevant (in fact the loot way is a lot cheaper).

it is same *** loot lock as with anomalies. 10 minutes between completions to get loot. you complete anomaly or kill boss sooner than that and you get only small amount of gold.

Try a mystic in any large city. They sell empty and full soulstones.

Eventhough it annoys me that I can do mini anchors, dungeon bosses and world bosses and not get any blue loot, I do think it's the only way for ZOS to combat the bots and campers.

Very true. Bots were such a huge problem they're one of the things that made me take an extended break (I was around for beta too).

But I literally got only one generic green item from a few hours of boss killing. It wasn't even a green boss drop, it just like gloves of magicka or something. I got a handful of soul gems but not a lot, and I spent a lot of time just trying to see what these bosses dropped.

I understand needing to nerf respawn and maybe add a loot timer, but if they're not dropping loot it's overkill.

Oh well.

Soul gems drop in abundance from group dungeons. Get a group together and go have some fun.
