In regards to Steam integration... What do you value the most?

Quick poll, we all know the benefits of the dog and Steam integration, and we know ZOS isn't giving us either of them.

What do you value the most? What would you want to have first?

*ZOS we know how to add the game as a non-steam game.

I value not using Steam to run my ESO. I'm not much of a fan of it.

I respect that for whatever reason other people want to though.

Agree, maybe I'm missing something really obvious but I don't know what these 'benefits' are.

I don't really care about steam. It's the most pleasant form of DRM out there, yes, but I could do just fine without it.

Rest assured that i'm not implying you should be forced to use Steam, as with every other game that did a Steam transfer this change should be OPTIONAL.

Adding the game as a non-steam game let's you use the Steam overlay in-game. So chat is one of the few things we can do now without a Steam version of the game.

Polll is invalid if you don't add a "Who the heck cares about Steam?" option. (And I have read the thread about the value of Steam. Sorry, none of them appeal to me and I have never used them in a Steam game no do I foresee doing so in the future.)

    None of the above?

Steam is fine just as Origin is.. if you have to use it for your games...

But I'll stick with going direct to ESO thanks,.

Still want my panther pet though, although a nice tabby would be acceptable...

I vote for the missing "As a long-term Steam customer, I am delighted that ZOS have extended the saleability of the game through Steam and value the benefit of the resulting additional players above the fact that I can't get a specific vanity pet or full Steam transfer which are really of no interest to me" option.

Moreover, this whole Steam business is becoming extremely tiresome, can ZOS please come up with something new for forum posters to complain about?

It's not unbiased. It assumes that Steam has an intrinsic value for all players. It really doesn't.

"Neither" has to be an option for the poll to have any remote claim to validity. If you wanted to restrict voting to those who felt strongly about one or the other rather than neither (or both, another missing but perfectly valid option) then you should have worded the poll accordingly.

I vote for option 3 - I place zero value on Steam, and only use it when I have no other choice if I want to play a given game. The wolfhound doesn't matter all that much to me either.

As for the people saying "If Steam doesn't matter to you, don't respond", the point of any poll is to find out how people feel on a subject - generally to support an argument of some sort.
Then you have no reason to be involved in this discussion as it impacts you in absolutely no way. Stop trolling.

For myself, I value the ability to launch my game through Steam, which I can already do.

But for others, I value the ability to fully partake in the Steam community without having to abandon their current progress.
