I have never seen such a torrent of hate as I have just seen on the steam forums. I don't know why I feel the need to protect the game from complete *** but I seem to try. I hope this inclusion on steam doesn't have an adverse effect on the game that we mostly love.

There is enough hate in our own forums. This is the 8th thread that I have counted about the Steam/wolfhound topic. Apparently there is too much rage to contain in one thread.

It seems to be a sign of a failing game when steam is needed after release :(

Or like any bussiness rather successful or not like to increase their revenue. Steam is a perfect place to do that, steam has skyrim so it's not unexpected

A dog. All this rabid attacking over a dog. Which they'll end up dismissing. Or forgetting about.

HOW ABOUT they give us a dog, one time only, and we have to feed, water, exercise, regulate temperatures, entertain and not lose?

Won't like it so much then.

    but a fuzzy dog....

Although I don't like to see ESO getting flamed. WTF do they have to complain about on STEAM? They are getting the damn game for half of what we all paid for it !

    :/

(not to mention a much nicer vanity pet)

    :(

Why do you people keep lying about this? Everyone could buy the game at a 20% discount pre launch. I got mine for 25% off. All games are a premium at launch. Don't want to pay that? Wait until the price drops. You can buy everything from Fallout to Skyrim to Civilization and more on Steam right now for a fraction of its initial cost. You can even pay a premium for alpha test games that may never actually make it to market. I had rather have cheese and wine with Sheogorath than to put up with hordes of cyber skeevers that inhabit these forums.

Steam has very little moderation. You'll basically get the same quality of intelligence as you would in the comments sections on YouTube.

... and on these forums apparently. I mean the outrage over a pet is the new standard of ridiculous.

Steam always had a hostile community, just look how they ruined AA as example. A lot of the younger crowds love their steam due the bragging rights it gives them - luckily we don't need to go there as it was confirmed by Gina if I recall right.

So let them rage, hate and do their childish stuff - we can stay here and hopefully the mods keep doing their best to make this forum a happy & friendly place to be in.

For me steam is place where it comes true about game. I agree that some post are lack of knowledge. If game was great so no one will complain and they will dream about this game. But we all know what game isn't great :D.
