In a very nice maneuver we were able to snag Black Boot - contain AD at the scroll for 30 minutes - EP got Ash under siege - we placed a camp right near ash after the timer went up - we got in the back door at Ash - cleaned out EP - the AD BG'ers and then deposed the false emp!

EP Emp dethroned so now everyone can get EMP killer from WARZ

    Define Irony --

DC daycappers (when there's little/no populaton) crowing about accomplishments after complaining bitterly about EP nightcappers (when there's little/no population).

If everything is red to your starter keeps what else are you supposed to do in Cyro?

Actually, not to bust your bubble, we were tired of defending at Ash and let it fall, it only took DC like 8 hours to cap a different keep so we could do something else and not let EP get emp... But you can think it was your slick maneuvers all you want.. ;)

    Well done.

At one point last night AD had (once again) locked population against two bars of both blue and red and was still constantly losing ground against, essentially, equal numbers.

Those yellow were crunchy and good with milk, though.

    EDIT:

I think the front line collapsed, forcing the last stand at Ash, when we finally got the full transit net cut. Blue took Brindle, Bitaken took Faregyl, GoS flipped Bleakers (several times), I flipped Sejanus & Drakelowe when there was no response to taking the resources, and after that keeps started falling like dominoes until the Ash defense.

Sorry - I don't think this is remotely true. The reality is you had 20 defenders non stop in Ash when we showed up after our Ales capture. Camp after camp we burned / sieged / destroyed while you were defending against us and EP - we killed EP several times with 7. Our 7 were not enough to kill you though - not with the constant siege all over us.

Ummm holy crap, how fun was last night ? Lot's of epic 3 way battles, loved that one fight we had for the scroll (I'm DC.) Spawned at our FWC to find a whole hoard of AD waiting on us, then moments later a bunch of EP showed up, next thing I knew we had a 3 way zerg happening in a giant field in the middle of no where, and somehow our scroll guy got away … Epic fight all around guys.

Those 20 people you saw? Probably 3 separate groups. AD is almost never awake/up at this hour. I'm a *** zombie today because of yesterday and I went to bed after the EP push got repelled (24k AP, thank you).

They were all over my group with 70+ wherever we went last night. WE 50/50'd several keeps and every single time there would be 70 flowing out of the keep within 1.5 minutes. Until we got to Faregyl and they did not respond fast enough. I was praying you guys would get drake and cut transit so they had to BG to go anywhere. At that point it was just waiting out the camp timers on the different keeps they left and voila.

There were several instances of keeps where we tried to speed take them only to have the walls at 70% and there were 2, 5, a half dozen AD suddenly on the walls, even Drakelowe at one point. We just packed up and left. Wiped a few pursuit forces. Finally committed to ramming Bloodmayne and were flipping back flag with the might of the zerg slammed down on us.

After that, we started the process over again. 12 dudes don't take a defended keep with the zerg busy beating its face on Chalman's walls.

So we were going to content ourselves with outpost farming until Faregyl lit up. I headed straight back to Drakelowe after that. Burned the walls down, fire trebbed their tent inside until we could burn it, and then flipped the keep. After that, the outcomes of the evening were inevitable.

We also spent the evening actively checking Drake, defending Sejanus when yellow briefly retook Alessia and being a roaming murder squad in the south killing any reinforcements that tried to push the blue off Black Boot prior to it becoming a scroll raid.

When it turned into a scroll raid, we waited for blue to pass, then walked a line of kills up the yellow pursuit train until Brindle where we got overwhelmed.

Agrippa, I'm still laughing at myself for seeing you jump off that wall and tracking you the whole way thinking, "This will be so fun." Only to realize that you were jumping into your own sneak attack on my team. I rarely see anything resembling tactics when out in DB but that was beautiful. Actually, come to think of it, I probably broke up something that was about to be even sneakier by doing that, but certainly not on purpose.

Today was a lot of fun on DB, then Wabba. I played until I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore.

To put it very charitably DC has 2 raid groups and some other occasional groups I think are as mysterious to themselves as they are to everyone else.

I was more referring to the strategy behind the actions, not the reason for the actions. Having an emperor meant both factions were going to pound yellow in favor of each other.

AD being able to transit anywhere they pleased with their fantastically large zergball meant pushing into the inner ring was near impossible for either opposing faction until said zergball was chopped into smaller sections.

Hence the constant hit and runs and back caps. Once you were forced into the Ash corner, AD (to borrow a term) turtlezerged it.

I shouldn't be able to take Faregyl at 1am central with 9 people. I had a flag and a half of Bloodmayne 15 minutes after that until people actually showed up. Yet yellow was at 2 bars of population. That means EVERYONE was in Ash.

    EDIT:

I was at BRK prior to the transit being cut. When I logged in, the red had been back into the BRK mine (a terribly indefensible spot - mill is much better). Our team wiped the full BRK AD zerg to their postern several times, but there were so many that our Puggies couldn't invest it and we couldn't afford to get on siege ourselves as the puggies would get wiped due to sheer numbers.

All this while yellow was successfully defending multiple blue attempts at Ash, Aleswell, and Roebeck.

Credit to Blue, Brindle was the first success that day against yellow, Faregyl the second. Red showed up on the board with Drakelowe, and scored the first inner ring keep back with Chalman.

So we stopped the scroll push while also defending emp? That's a success in my books.

Most of the Ash defense happened much later, after you logged, when AD had 1 bar while EP had 2.

There was nothing serious about it. We were pulling and killing guards at Faregyl until someone showed up to kill. Since no one showed up, we ran out of guards (and flags). So we moved the operation to Bloodmayne.

    EDIT:

And if you classify 9 dudes as a scroll raid, then you have really low expectations of your defense force. We were bored and avoiding the giant Ash zergball.

    EDIT2:

Oh, and I made sure we said "Hi!" to you while you were fighting at Black Boot.

Losing Alessia and Roebeck was entirely due to TKO finally getting worn down and tired. No one came to help us the entire night, and we were defending with anywhere from 15-25 guys the entire time.

It was a war of attrition (and sleep) we couldnt win, because the entire rest of the faction was holed up in Ash from like 8pm forward.

The scroll attempts, us defending, the cap, backcap, recap at the two home yellow imp keeps, us defending/assaulting every time. We just couldnt be everywhere at once and we kept losing people to the night.

At about 14 hours into reign (5am this morning) even I left, I was passing out at the keyboard. What more can anyone do, you get what I am saying?

Sure some of those Ash defenses were things of glory, but at the end of the day we lost because we gave up too much ground as a faction and were pretty much abandoned on the front line vs a zerg of red that consisted of at least 2 full raids and some puglets.

All the above being said, I made over 2 million vet xp and almost a quarter million AP on my DK last night, so the night wasnt a total loss. Not even close.

AD held an Emp as long as any of the recent EP flips, and longer than the sole DC flip, and stopped Reds emp overnight cappers.

I think the message we were trying to send was sent, at cost, but sent none the less.

Question for all of you on Dawnbreaker:
I'm getting really tired of the near constant zerg balls/impulse spam groups going on in Wabbajack, I'm considering switching campaigns. Since Dawnbreaker is the second most populated campaign I'd want to come over there... but I want to know beforehand, is it the same story there, but on a smaller scale?

You're EP so… Yes. In fact it is much worse on DB.
Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

This morning I happened across an AD vs. EP fight right as one side was mopping up so I snuck in the hole in the wall right before it was fixed up.

I noticed two poor people searching the walls as apparently I'd just barely aggro'd an NPC or some such so I /w someone named something unspellable like Aliwakiwanami (I am not making fun of the name, I just couldn't possibly remember it all these hours later) saying it was me they were looking for, then came of stealth atop the wall next to the other searcher.

We just kinda looked at one another, and then they broke out a lute. So I played flute, and we chatted amicably about the campaign a moment then they bumped me off the wall with a ring of fire.
