Do you still check bookcases looking for Skill Books?

Is there any point to continue to check bookcases? I haven't had anything pop for weeks now. It would save me a lot of time if it was pointless to continue. What do YOU do?

KariTR✭✭✭✭✭Still? I opened book cases to read what was upon them, not to gain skill points.
In the context of your poll, I cannot give an appropriate answer, yet I open every book case, I still read every book I haven't come across before and I often read books again if they are particularly enjoyable.1 -

✭Well , i only play my main so , no need anymore.
What i noticed is that , it is worth it to check at the start of a VR faction , each faction seems to have some unique books that you can learn , but after the first VR zone of each faction i usually never find anything even when i do stop to read the books."Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity."

✭I used to, but gave up in VR Levelsat a point, I felt I didnt get any skill points after reaching vr levels, so I only open once every once in a while now.

I don't think the location of the bookshelve matter. The bookshelves are stocked randomly, and there's a limited number of skill books for each skill. Once you've found them all, there's no point in checking any more bookshelves.Nox_Aeterna wrote: »Well , i only play my main so , no need anymore.

I can't think of one skill point since VR though. So I doubt I would bother if that was the only reason.0 -
Food4Thought✭✭✭I still check every bookcase I passI don't think the OP gave enough options for the book cases. Should be a middle ground somewhere.
But with that said, with over 3000 books, scrolls, and pamplets in the game there is all kinds of things to discover and read if you want. And although at the time I thought it was kind of lame, getting the ability to re-read any piece of literature you come across after finishing the mage guild's quest is just icing on the cake. It gives you the opportunity to read the full story once you have found all the books in a given series.
Frankly, that is the only way to do it as far as I'm concerned.0 -
