In the last few days, i have been seeing a lot more VR players than i used to while leveling my alt through the lower levels of DC.

The whole time i didn't think much of it, but tonight i saw a group of 3 VR12 in Stormhaven (DC area) and they had the subtitle of "Dominion Hero" under their name.

Am i going crazy?

    Traitors, you should kill them.

They started in DC, got the AD achievement and choose to show that achievement as their title?

Since they didn't show up as enemies, i guess that is the only logical explanation.
Still seems like a weird thing to do.

And they were elves, btw., but if you're playing with imperial edition, that would be possible too ...

You can have any title active that you currently have the achievement for lol. It's kind of funny you actually thought they were AD running around in your DC zone trying to gank lowbies or something, good times.

Never said i thought they were trying to gank players. Not sure where you got that from.

What i was wondering was if ZOS might have changed the zoning so VRs from other factions are no longer invisible when they're running through other faction content.

That does not imply they would be able to attack other players ...

Yeah you just needed the pre-order explorers pack to be able to play as any race, so definitely do able that they were DC players playing as Elfs.

What faction did their nameplates show? While they can change the title I think their faction stays unchanged.

Do nameplates show faction by default? I've got an addon that does it, didn't think they did otherwise.

No worries... its just a title. i am also using the "covenant hero" title on my EP toon.

Nameplates don't show faction. They do, however, display a small PvP rank icon after a player's name if a player has been in PvP. The icon is colored according to your faction.

    Yellow icon: AD
    Blue icon: DC
    Red icon: EP

Yea I'm with the Pact but for the luls I put on Covenant Hero... I lure in unsuspecting DC players in Cyrodiil and kill them before they realize who I'm with.

... it doesn't really work like that, but I still have Covenant Hero for fun

I never thought of that. Looks like the joke is on me, because it sure worked to get me confused.

Now that i think of it, i'm pretty sure their rank icon was indeed blue ...
    :)
