Lock Inventory Items

So basically, I just want to be able to "lock" gear in my inventory so that it doesn't appear on decon / research at tables or at a vendor. This would make it easier to keep extra weapon types and gear without fear of accidentally losing it. Thoughts?

great idea! Especially if you are carrying around gear with traits your waiting to research. Every time I setup for some decon I have to recheck my traits to make sure I dont decon something I need to research.

Fantastic! Thank you. I also love how the mod text parodies those annoying ads xD

I'll ad this right away. I'd still like to see an official means of doing it without mods.

I love add-ons, but Zeni's track record of rendering add-ons down to 'non-working' status as the surprise bonus after any given update because they don't give a rat's butt about the add-on devs or the players who use those add-ons makes relying on add-ons for important stuff a big gamble.

Don't forget that we've had ninja hot-fixes, with no documentation, at any time Zeni has felt like it was needed.
I'm not disputing the 'as needed' in any way at all.
I *am* pointing out the disregard that ninja hotfixes show players who may want to have some notice that stuff they use may get borked.

It's just a matter of treating your clients as valuable partners in the business, (we ARE the money part of the equation), rather than disposable chattel.

This is one of the most useful addons I have. I no longer have to fear accidninja's selling or deconning a piece of gear I need to save for research.

I am close to the end of research in woodworking and clothing, and the traits I haven't already stockpiled are getting pretty hard to come by. Makes me wonder how many I deconstructed early in the game thinking "Bah. I'll find another".

Should be an added option in the standard UI, IMO.

*edited to add: I also agree with @twev here. Having had a couple of crucial (to me) addons being rendered useless during the last patching cycle, relying on them for crucial UI functions sucks. I hope the devs will take a clue and either incorporate some of these functions in to the UI, or at least communicate more openly with the addon community about API changes that may render their addons useless.

*edit again to add: it isn't the addons OR the developers of them that I am pointing a finger at, rather the lack of communication from the devs to the addon community that makes relying on the addons tricky. To the addon developers still here working on their addons, I salute you and send you many hearts, rainbows and unicorns. You make my ESO experience better. Thanks.
