Newest annoying bug in PvP

Not sure what causes it...But every now and again, You just stop being able to use abilities entirely on your bar. Its not anything like Negate either..Just flat out the bar won't work. It lasts forever as well, One fight it was over 30 seconds before I could finally use an ability again.

Anyone else getting this?

Yeah, a couple times. I've had to hit escape to fix it.

this has happened to me numerous times since beta. It seemed to almost stop a couple patches ago but has come back recently.

like the above poster, ESC to get your hotbars working again.

yup hitting "escape" in the middle of a fight is such an awesome fix too. o.O

I've had this a lot lately. I look like (even more of) an idiot just jumping around trying to find something that works. I've had Esc-Esc not work either. Dying fixed it. Esc-Esc usually works but not always - I got stuck in menus doing that a few times (it took me into the menu but wouldn't let me out).

This isn't a new bug, it's been happening to me randomly before the fps issue even started. Hitting escape usually fixes it.

It was rare before (for me at least). And I'd never had Esc-Esc fail which it sometimes does now. Yes it's not new. Most bugs we see aren't new though. They've been there since early beta but patches make them more prominent.

I seriously at first thought "my enemy is [snip] with me somehow" then my BF said hit "esc' :P

OH! and don't forget if you press too many buttons while trying to figure out how to get out of this mode the server will promptly boot you for spamming

Roll dodge will normally break it to where you can use your abilities again.

I've tried esc esc, doesn't seem to work though

I know Esc works on that super annoying bug at keeps..You know.. the one were your targeting just get stuck on the keep walls, and you can't fight anyone till you hit escape.

I have posted in another thread, this issue came up for others (according to mapchat) and me directly after the fps hotfix (I was playing that day, before and after loading the patch).

In heated situations, usually when I`m playing very fast, this happens to me. There will even be a message coming up in the top right corner of the screen "you cannot do this right now" (same place were the mounting messages etc appear), whenever trying to do anything but walking & jumping.

No mounting, no roll dodge, no weapon switch, no ability usage possible when it happens.

/reloadui will fix it. But since it is always occuring infight, I`ll usually just die before the /reloadui-loading screen disappears.

yep. using a potion sometimes unlocks it but not reliably.

By any chance are you using the tab soft targeting system? I've noticed that during bigger fights near keeps, I get locked onto a keep wall or oil pot instead of the player I have my cursor on. At that point, no skills work and you can't tab select a new target. Hitting ESC does fix it though. Not sure why we can even tab select siege or walls actually.

this is an ongoing bug that still happens. Occurs to me when im in PvE. Quick /reloadui fixes it for me.

Yes it's been happening to me frequently since the time around the last fps patch. Dodge seems to fix it.

Other things I'm getting since that patch.
* After swapping hotbars heavy attacks won't begin for 1-2 seconds.
* Cannot retarget things without hitting escape. As an example if I target a tower guard it locks in on the tower and I can't target anything else even though I am not even facing the tower. I have had it do the same for a ballista.

Come to think of it that last point may be the cause. The game may be 'soft targeted' onto an undamagable object.

Can confirm. Played 3 betas and release since early access, today was the first time this bug hit a friend and myself.
