Veteran Rank Changes
Phase 1 of our Veteran gameplay changes begins with this patch, the first in a series of changes we'll be making to improve the post-50 experience overall. We've lowered the difficulty of the second and third alliance zones to bring them more in lines with zones from 1-50. You'll be able to continue soloing through them more easily than before, though they'll still be challenging. We have much more information about Veteran System changes on the way, so make sure to watch our site for updates.

Than you must have been doing something wrong...I'm a DW NB in PvE with a 'training' secondary, and I basically soloed 95% of the vet content since VR1, save for instances, pre-nerf.WAY easier than before.
Im sure it was always easy it u used a destrostaff though.
But for us dualwielders, it is now possible to solo some things that we had no chance against pre-nerf.

They are still a challenge and still fun.... the complaining from those that have already done it is ridiculous. Let them nerf it and bring back more players.... it drove everyone off and they lost a lot of people..... there is a reason they are changing it. Seriously...... the dev team is so much smarter than people think.

It is not very challenging or fun now. At least not for me. I wont throw around words like everyone just to make my post seem more important. And I'm not complaining since i have already done it, I'm still working my way through it. It is actually boring enough I'm having a hard time really wanting to log on.
And not to be rude, I'm sure the developers are very smart. But the simple question is if they are so super super smart why did it take people crying and whining on the forums to get the content nerfed? Im not saying they didn't do the right thing i have no idea what the numbers say. But i am saying if you want to pat them on the back for being so much smarter then people think, why did they have to change it at all? Why didn't they get it right the first time?

As with you he started on only about 90% health or maybe less. He simply stood by the lave pool he spawned at and did nothing, at all.
It's a long time since I did this quest chain but I think I remember him being a pain, hard to damage, with the scamps being annoying, while he at times would run to one pool or the other and heal some.
As for VR in general now, I like it so far, less tedious that my previous time in the early VR zones, and I can only imagine how much worse it got VR6+: of course, I've yet to see what it is now, so ...
