This game will release 4 or 5 updates before WoW releases a few class changes. So [snip] off.

its been what 7 to 10 months since they updated the game? there excuse is that they are working on the expansion.

My question to them is what is the subscription fee for if they are making you pay to update the game.

Don't get me wrong I get expansions but 10 months?

I try not to bring up WoW in MMO debates because its the exception not the rule but I feel this is one place where you can use the argument.

I've seen the video about what they have in store for us, and I must say the ONLY update worthy of our subscription is Craglorn. These future updates contain things that should've been in the game from the start.

Well, Zos has equaled the content WoW has put out in the last year within 3 months of launch with more to come.

    Go QQ some more.

Do you play WoW? You either need to play WoW or at least read the patch notes or you'll look like an idiot writing comments like that. Blizzard front loads their content patches so most of the major changes happens in the first 12 months of the expansion. That has been their strategy for the past couple expansions. The MoP expansion is nearly two years old already.

That said, even within the past year WoW got new raid tier gear in Siege, upgraded pvp gear over two seasons and release of Timeless Isle. For those who don't play WoW, any patch 5.x is a Mists of Pandaria patch, including the pre-patch which precedes actual release of the expansion.

I do play wow and so does my husband. Even at there peak they don't update monthly.

Granted when they do its good content. Very good.

Its still a valid point (albeit extremely exaggerated).

If ESO keeps to there promise and all these things actually keep up the way they are doing it will rival even Rift in its prime. The content coming down the pipeline is pretty substantial stuff too and even complete overhauls. This latest patch wasn't so great but you won't always have gold.

Hmmm tell me how many MMORPGS have dyes to that extend implemented apart from GW2. Also I rather have small updates that are clean of bugs than massive content updates that break the game more.

Clean of bugs ... that's a good one.

Blizzard apparently can live with the unsubs during the last 6-9 months of the expansion. They must figure that subscription losses due to lack of new content up to the pre-patch for the new expansion aren't large enough to merit new content.

But I think more players are looking at their subscriptions like this: $15/month sub multiplied by 4 months equals a triple-A single player title. In other words, players who fall in this camp expect the equivalent of a triple-A game in new mmo content every 3-4 months. If it doesn't happen, they hit the unsub button and re-sub when new content is actually released. If they can be drawn back into the game. I'd think it would be harder to get someone to come back and re-sub than to keep them if they are already subbed but only the mmo operators have the actual customer data.

First off they never said "monthly" they said 4-6 weeks approximately. Second. Games been out 3 month with two updates and your already whining. That pretty much sums it up,
