Armor sets

So with all the wide spread changes coming to armor sets will we be given a chance to switch sets per piece if the new setup we have is borked. I have a 3 piece whitestrakes for the shield which is now a 5 piece and willows is just bad. Can we drop a temporary 1 time use vendor that will swap these pieces out for a different set. I also feel for those who may have spent a but load of AP for PvP sets will they be refunded spent AP?

Actually, that looks like a buff to me. You get massive buffs to recovery across all attributes in addition to the increased combat regeneration. That said, a free exchange is still a terrible idea. But here are some solutions if you don't think you can make enough gold:

1. Craft it yourself.
2. Sell things you loot to other people.
3. Use the guild store.
4. Complete quests.
5. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Gold is not difficult to come by in this game. I will generally make a 5-piece set of 6-trait armor for 2k per piece.

What?

I have no idea how they would implement a set-item "swap" system, especially for dropped items. But when it comes to crafted items, all you have to do is craft new ones if you now want a different set.

The game is never going to stay static. Better gear will always be introduced, so get used to it.

not for dropped sets only crafted sets and pvp gear. When you spend roughly 7k or more per piece of epic or legendary gear and you have 7 armor pieces plus weapons that's a ton of gold. Also the costs of PvP gear is insane so those people might be a bit upset too. I am done questing and have some gold but if I spend it the only way to get more is to farm or do daily quests. I don't see any reason why as long as you have the ability to make a certain set why you just cant swap to that set. As long as it retains the same armor type, lvl, trait, and enchant what would it hurt? The only thing like you suggested is trying to figure out what to do for the people who farmed dropped sets.

It hurts the economy. Massively.

If I can just switch sets at will, why even bother having crafting stations for different ones? Just have a crafting station for "6-trait set", and I'll change the attributes on the fly.

Also, I've been combing through the patch notes, and I can't see where set bonuses are changing so drastically that what you have will become worse than what it is now. They're only improving on what's already there. So if you currently aren't happy with the Willow's Path bonus, you aren't going to get a credit for a free armor switch just because some other sets are being changed. You want new armor? Craft it.

seems they are really buffing up the sets which is nice. Yes some traits are moved from 3-5 but then they are also adding 2 and 4 piece traits.

IDK just seems like the two sets I have got nerfed the hardest. Willows got slammed although still probably useful but whitestrakes is now useless as a 3 piece set.

Hundings looks nice guess ill be crafting a nice med set of hunding 5 piece set and maybe 3 ashen grip pieces... and their goes all my gold

Lets just hope the 8 trait sets have some spell crit. What did they want all the weapon crit on most of the sets when its useless for most of the builds.

Thank god im not the only one who is feeling the pain lol... sorry for your loss. I guess they just want everyone to roll around with 2 pieces of impen gear so crits are fruitless
