...Since my last poll got some flack, even though I wasn't asking for nerfs at all (way to overreact), if you had to buff one class, which one would you choose, and why?

I don't see the problem with classes. My NB was basically the same as my DK at the same level. Sure, each class has one advantage over another, but I still output the same damage and die the same amount of times on the each of my characters because they are fine.

Templars for sure. Their most effective tactic for DPS and questing is almost (almost, not quite) to spam ONE ability. They also need magicka management. Still love my templars, but they need some work.

Templar need some magicka management. It's no fun standing around waiting for mana to regen all the time.

Since I play a DK, naturally I'd rather see buffs to the class I play...but only in regards to certain skills and abilities like the entire Earthen Heart line, dragon leap, and a few tweaks to the ardent flame line (inferno and chain).

Of the 3 classes that I play (DK, Sorc, NB), the NB is the weakest IMO. However I haven't got a templar character to compare against.

Also I haven't played the NB since the most recent patch so I don't know how much it has been affected by the medium armour changes.

Both the DK and the Sorc seem pretty easy in PvE.

Of course, a lot of this depends on people's builds.

I vote sorc mostly because I play one Bow/DW most of the time. other than shard procs a sorc under performs to say an NB. especially in survivability.
sure it's great caster and aoe Dmg but it doesn't cross other styles as well as it could. I kind of find the spells a bit dull too. surely more interesting CCs could be implemented.

It is a tough one you almost have to specify if this is for PvE or PvP. I answered with PvE in mind.

Both Templar and Nightblade have trouble putting out the trials DPS. Both are pretty much fine for leveling with the VR changes I do think templar is a little easier in VR.

I vote Nightblade while both could use a PvE DPS boost for trials the Templar is the most amazing healer and Nightblade is pretty much a DPS class. You can use it as a tank or healer but they are not amazing at either.

As far as my limited experience playing and going up against each class, I don't think there is a HUGE disparity between them... I'd rather focus on Stamina+weapon builds being inferior to magika+staff builds atm.

Picked night Blade, but Templar is just as needed.

    For night blade:
    -remove cast time from agony
    -increase dot power for cripple
-change the fear effect on aspect of terror to a stun so it's more useful for aoe situations
-change shade (s) to permanent toggle summons, increase their damage, make the archer shade stay at range, and give the melee shades a taunt
(Also make the shades look either more like the caster or more like wraith spirits, currently they're very boring)
-make haste reduce cast times and animation times while active
-change paths of darkness to a self centered aoe buff that moves with you, and damages nearby enemies (or heals nearby allies with refreshing path) so it's more user friendly in combat

    For Templar:
-make restoring aura/radiant aura/repentance restore magicka and stamina rather than health and stamina. This would single handedly fix Templar mana issues And be great for all roles and builds

Note that my above suggestions for nightblade changes are basically either quality of life improvements, or attempts to make the least used abilities more useful, overall there's no real "buff" as far as how strong the class is

Templar needs more ways to regain magicka. All classes have skills to do so, but us.

Spell Symmetry is indeed a viable option in PvE raids like trials or if you're back line healing. I'm a frequent user in those situations.

But assuming it works in every scenario is ridiculous. It cost bloody 750 health to use(for me that is) and popping that one while fighting someone in PvP, I might as well go swim with the slaughterfish.

It also affects our options as far as builds go. We always have to build towards full magicka, full reduction and also use at least one resto staff. On my sorc I can use any weapon, spec for full spell- or weapon dmg and still have plenty magicka in PvP using Dark Deal.

Templar. Specifically, non-stave wielding, stamina builds.

You've already helped some by giving a very slight benefit to medium armor wearers. But, it still remains this is one of the toughest build-types, due to comparatively low sustained DPS. This, combine with overloading the stamina requirements for both defensive (dodge/block/power,etc) and offensive use.

The Templar skill line Dawn's Wrath needs some love, but they're otherwise fine.

Sorcerers are where they should be.

Night Blades... Holy guacamole are they under powered in veteran levels.

Take the mages guild passive that reduces the magicka and health cost of spells for spell symmetry to not cost as much.

Not that it will really fix all the problems just a suggestion.
