All black is what I'm going for, but if other people want neon/bright colors that's their personal preference/right.

Yeah, there will just be a few of us. I bet you that you'll hardly even notice us, if you notice us at all! We will blend right in <evil grin>

    I have different idea.
I don't mind it. Variety in the way people look is good. I would prefer it though if we had more disguises to make us look like normal people - trader, cook, farmer, fisherman, butcher, baker, woodcutter etc. I find it a bit immersion breaking to see everyone, all the time, looking like they are about to launch into battle when they are just hanging out at the tavern or looking for the nearest town to sell some stuff. We need basically town clothes so we can hang up the armour and take a break from killing now and again.

I actually want to use the dyes to make armor look more realistic. Is that an answer? This Orc leather that has bright blue is so absolutely stupid and ugly.

Have you ever played a game with uninhibited dyes?

    Prepare to see 40% black

    10% unique

50% clowns that think it is hilarious to make themselves look as ridiculous as possible

Prepare to see a wave of bright fruity colors that would make the power rangers blush.

Like even WoW a cartoon disaster of a game (imo) doesn't do this because the devs themselves say it would ruin the mood of the game.

I am all for dyes but they should have been tints not this crap

Dye tints are good. This seem like to much colour that is not why we play ESO.
If I wanted to look like a damb sword wielding Clown i'd still be playing Rift.
I left that game because I didn't agree with the direction of Dying was going (bright pink metal armour or vet level set armour from the cash shop)

Elder scrolls was always darker than those paintball mmo's but seems were going that way to.
    Cloth should be dyed,
Leather should be darker shades only
Metal should only ever be tint'able.

When was the last time you ever saw a set of Pink iron platemail????

I find it hard to believe that a colour could make you leave a game.

And just for your information, I was joking although bright pink is a nice bright colour, i'm more likely to be dressed all in black. I so hope that doesn't upset you.

Sends you a huge hug and hope you get better soon.

Absolutely horrible. An aberration. If they don't lock some kind of colours and they just let the people create pinks, extremely blues or things like the ones in the picture...the immersion is gonna be a joke.

I'm really against this. Now that I was going to resub again thanks to the new updates...here comes ZOS with the wow dye system to destroy TES universe.

I would much more like presets which you can choose like it is in assassins creee. You.can buy different preset color motif.

When you give free will to players you will see color madness.

I am seriously very disaponted just by disguises. Skeletons running around isn't exactly what I expect from TES online game

for me I really dont care

if people want to use erm, who im I to judge, they might be totally ugly, like some of the armor ingame already, hate my own deadric light armor, but since its vr12 crafted set, ill have to deal with it for the time being. Just using costumes to hide it :)

But if some likes it, im all for it it brings something to their gaming

I love the idea of the dyes but I have to agree the shiny OMG BRIGHT needs to be toned down just a bit to go into the general theme and feel the developers had in mind for ESO.

Its cool when an extremely rare item stands out as flashy. When every one starts looking like they're wearing tie dye the realistic environment will be gone.

Problem is it stands out as an extremely rare identical item that several have. I spent ages making my character look unique. And.. well the devs armour colours are not exactly in line with my tastes. Imperial cat food colour armours anyone?

This way devs are off the hook, as you can change whatever you like. Mind, we have not seen the cost yet have we?

Besides, the ones shown in those examples, show something that stands out. Not forced to have only those colours available as standard.

I'm happy for dyes to be implemented. Anything that improves the social aspet of this game and gives some sense of individuality.

No name plates is a killer for me so dyes will definitely brighten the place up and make us feel more like people and a less like npc's.

I don't think anybody is actually bent out of shape here. Most people expressing issues with the colours are just concerned about having to see the beautiful landscape suddenly tainted by people in fluro orange spandex jumpsuits, and cats in bright pink jumpers and yellow pants all over the place. Just a visual preference really >;)

I don't know, I reserve judgement for when I see them in the game. I do not like the look of Captain America, I prefer subtler colors, but the others are actually quite alright so I'm not going to cry ZOS doomed the Elder Scrolls style just yet.

I can't wrap my head around all these complaints about pink. What's wrong with pink, I mean seriously? It's a color like any other. Now I'm tempted to dye me gear pink just to annoy your uptight bunch.
