FPS Issue in PVP

I just tested the FPS in pvp and found that it isn't fixed. I as soon as I got to a keep siege at BRK my fps dropped from 50ish down to the single digits. I then logged out, turned my settings to low for everything and tried again. Similar results. I'm pretty sure its not my computer as I'm running a fairly elite setup. I've tried swapping out my graphics card before the patch and that didn't do anything. I guess marginally fixed is fixed for some and not others?

    Thanks for the info.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Never expect a fix even when they say they have one or aiming for one.
This is week 3 now and it's still broke. Very telling.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Can any other players playing on the NA server express their experience with Cyrodiil after todays patch?

Lol seriously they said marginal....did you really expect a fix? Reading and reading comprehension are very different. This was a unneeded waste of time and effort as there're are many other threads about the fps issues.

Marginal - not of central importance <regards violence as a marginal rather than a central problem>; also : limited in extent, significance, or stature <had only marginal success with the business>

To me that would indicate some improvement. This is not the case. Right now I'd be happy with 20fps in pvp. Instead its 3-5. So yes, I can indeed read and comprehend what I read. I can also expect improvement on a problem that has lasted going on 3 weeks now.

I was in pvp for about an hour yesterday and fps rarely dropped below 50, that was including a siege. I know before I switched to a SSD my fps were everywhere to unplayable, maybe has something to do with the data transfer more than the GPU itself.

... I've tried swapping out my graphics card before the patch and that didn't do anything. ...

Pretty sure that the game is CPU bound in Cyrodil rather than GPU bound. The low FPS is probably due to excessive CPU time being taken up by something (or more likely, many things, some big and some small).

Yep add to the fertilizer list. FPS-lockup issues in Cold harbor. and lost data lock ups in character select screen. looks like a new windows conflict. All in all par for the course.

I have been running this game on an SSD since beta, no issues until 1.2 patch.

I have an i7-3820 cpu, and a nvidia gtx 780ti...

There is no reason I should go down to 15fps at any point, but I do...

CPU Bound, GPU bound, Data Transfer bound? I'm playing with an i7-4770k, a 780GTX and a very nice SSD from our friends at Samsung

Cyrodil drops to 7 FPS for me in sieges. And it stays there until I change zones or relog. None of the components listed above are mid-range.

Marginal fix on 3fps is still crap....as a33percent fix would be a1 fps fix. I don't think a 33 percent fix would be called marginal. So expecting fps to go from 3 up to 20 would be considered significant. I never expected to see a difference when they used the term marginal and as an educated man I never expected people seeing 3fps to see a difference. I also read their previous comments and didn't expect any improvements this patch as they pretty much stated.

Which is why I already canceled and will wait to see if they actually do fix it in the future.

The real question is why haven't they reverted back to the patch before 1.2 and then they could start from there. intelligent companies will do this so that folks can play while the company researches fixes for their new content.

People keep saying just revert to 1.2, but things aren't always that easy. So that path is most likely just not feasible.

But.. they have the changelog, they have the engineers and they've had 2 weeks time, fixing a performance issue you broke during an upstep should be fairly easy to pinpoint and fix, esp in 2 weeks time.

Heck, it wouldn't surprise me that the community will come out with a binary patch that fixes it before ZOS releases a patch!
