Why must you abuse skills?

Every time there is a way to beat players by exploiting a skill, players use it to death. It made me sick to my stomach to use silverbolt/shards on players when it was OP'd. I don't know how you guys/gals do it?
Apparently now there is one that constantly brings us to our knees and it's the same dude that abused another one when it was available. Don't you feel more pleasure by beating players normally and without using and abusing the system?(I'm sure others are using now but the player I saw using, abused another just a week or so ago and he's a good player that doesn't need extra help.)
Exploit is not always defined as a bad term so use your smarts when using the term please.

✭PVP is all about being better than anyone else, it's entirely a bravado thing and cheating is simply part of the way you prove [to yourself] you're better than anyone else.

No they didnt. So you better believe I spammed the hell out of broken silver shards while it was there. And there was much glee in my soul each and every time I saw them go insta-ash.
So no, it's not my fault or anyone elses fault that ZOS breaks things. They make the rules, we just play.7 -

It's human nature to want to have fun. If winning is the only way people can have fun that's a little sad.
I deliberately avoid using the combination that creates unbreakable stuns because it's not really a natural combination. I would only be using it to exploit the bug and I'd rather win fairly.
There are some combos that are more natural combinations so it's hard to judge players for using it then. They might not even be aware of it.0 -

PvP is about having to adapt to something not controlled by the AI. Any fight, no matter how hard becomes predictable in PvE. It's never the same twice in PvP.

And that's entirely irrelevant. Silver shards has always been in my rotation, has always been the key to killing vamps. And I've been killing vamps in all their manifestations, prenerf or whatever. That's what I enjoyed doing more than anything in Cyrodiil. Im not going to shelve one of my main abilities just because you think "it ain't fair" you can certainly get stuffed.
It had nothing to do with revenge or justice, but it was pretty hilarious. Maybe those "innocent" players should've been cured too rather than expecting me to change what I was already doing because they didn't like it. It's not my job to work out who's "guilty or innocent" that's a ridiculous concept. Not my problem in the slightest, and there wasnt anything wrong with it, other than the fact ZOS broke something.

And as far as I saw they didn't make a plea to the community to stop using silver shards, so it's fair game. Plenty of people complained about bat swarm and people didn't stop using it. I could easily draw the conclusion that you're some poor vampire that was too lazy or stubborn to take the time to cure it while the silver shard bug was present. You still wanted to use your vampire abilities, but you couldnt so your response is to force your "gameplay ethics" on other people like myself who genuinely like the skill. It doesn't work like that.
Never once changed what I was doing, never once exploited a bug. And I'm not going to do either, regardless of what you think about it. I've played full stamina build medium armor wearing nightblade from day one of EA. If you have a problem with what I'm doing in game, lol wow, best just to stay out of Cyrodiil then mate.

No one has honor....in RL or in a game...... there is no fairness. Human beings in general are terrible people, liers, cheaters, thieves.......

Actually I do get to decide what "exploiting" is when I use the term. It's a subjective thing. ZOS decides what is an illegal exploit even if it makes no sense (headbutting rocks with your horse to tunnel through Cyrodiil is not an illegal exploit but DK-chain pulling enemy factions over walls is).
I'm not terribly worried about what you're doing in game. I'm just commenting on what I think is reasonable for us to do. I don't agree with the idea that unless ZOS makes it "illegal" and threatens anyone with bans then it's all legitimate and we can abuse any bugs we find and ignore intended gameplay. That's just my view. Most people disagree and are quite willing to exploit any bug they find. Some people are ok with exploiting some bugs but not others. There's an arbitrary line that they draw.
When in Cyrodiil I won't exploit bugs myself but if it's done to me I 'meh' and move on. Everyone has their own view on what's fair.0 -

It's not subjective. An exploit is identified by the devs as purposefully breaking or circumventing game mechanics or established game logic to gain an advantage. Using sky shards that had its proc messed up by a patch is not an exploit, that is a bug. Players are not in control of bugs, they are in control of exploits, by their nature.
It really helps to be exact in the terminology, otherwise I could accuse every player on this game of cheating, if it's all subjective.

It is still extremley subjective. Just look at these forums you will see the term exploit used for every single thing someone doesn't like. A good example Craglorn grinding is called an exploit about every two hours on these forums.0 -

I fail to see how this is the players responsibility to regulate. Bugs are different - IF they violate terms. For example if they stated that using an exploit to gain gobs and gobs of gold or items was against terms and that players shd be aware that if they do discover it, its not an intended part of the game and shd be reported, not used for personal gain. As I said bugs are programming errors or loopholes where these skills are different bcoz they're operating exactly as they have been coded. You expect no one, to ever use it on you - knowing you walked in to PVP with a broke power that can one shot you? and you are going to complain?
there is a big red button that lets you win automatically with no repercussions..and you expect no one to push it? wow.

It's just what people do, finding the best way to beat people is in the nature of humans, as someone previously stated, in this game though, there are always counters to these abilities.
