I agree. Are you saying you should be able to summon your pets from another bar, then switch to your main bar and completely blow away everything in your path with no tradeoff? To me, that would be much more "lame". I'm glad they make us actually think about what we put on our bars. Why is it lame? If you don't have it on your active bar, it shouldn't appear. It's no different than not slotting it on your bar at all.

If the summons actually did even half-decent DPS... then the toggle burden -might- be justified.
As it is now? The trade-off is simply not worth. They are borderline useless in VR, and blatantly useless in PvP. They are not a threat, period. They are unbalanced to the under-powered beyond belief end of the spectrum.
I use the clannfear, at VR2 at least, as a tank - longest lasting root I've gotIf the summons actually did even half-decent DPS... then the toggle burden -might- be justified.

pets have gone from, being totally useless to very situational now. Any sorc hogging 4 slots with 2 pets is a sign of someone with no clue.

In pvp they pretty much let everyone know you have no clue what you're doing. I guess that's helpful.

They disappear if you don't have them slotted in the same place on the other bar. It's one of the choices you make, have the summons or another ability It's the same coice every class makes, admittedly though it feels more pressured with sorcs.

Can't really play a true summoner, 2 pets and bound armour, on both bars, wouldn't leave much.
