Cyrodiil/PvP FPS Issues: YOU WILL LOSE SUBS IF THIS IS NOT FIXED

ImBatman

The Zenimax team "has an idea" of what the FPS issue in Cyrodiil/pvp is caused by. They are reluctant to push out a patch on Monday because they are not 100% sure what the issue is. I have heard Zenimax is aiming to have the fps fix patch out on 7/14/2014.

You WILL lose a large portion of your PvP player base if this is not fixed by Monday. Subscriptions for people who have had the game since day 1 will expire on 7/9/2014. People will not pay another month for a broken game that *might* be fixed a week after their sub is up.

The options I see for Zenimax are as follows:

Give players free game time until FPS issue is fixed.

Push out patch regardless of whether or not you know 100% if it is the issue. You can't really make it any worse than it is now, in its current state it is unplayable.

ZENIMAX MUST SPEAK ON THIS ISSUE, THE FUTURE OF THIS GAME IS IN JEOPARDY.

@ZOS_AlvinM Thank you for your response. Is this response confirmation that the FPS issue may not be fixed tomorrow?

How can a multi million pound company no fly some experts over from japan/china to get this fix, get in touch with NC soft engineers or something, it is going to cost you more in the long run because people are dropping like flies from this game, Zenimax clearly incompetent to do the job.

@ZOS_AlvinM‌ @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ So what you are saying is that the fix isnt going into the Monday patch as scheduled? If that's the case Im done as well this is so ridiculous. The fact that this is still live is totally unprofessional and will only lead to the games downfall in the end.

GAME BREAKING BUGS SHOULD NEVER REMAIN LIVE FOR THIS LONG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

The way this is mentioned in the developer discussion makes me understand that u seriously didn't get anything done. Wether ur writers are incompetent or ur whole company is.

I would type it that way.

This post just tells me they do not have a definitive fix as of yet and tomorrows patch is only hopeful that it will be fixed.

My sub ends on the 8th and I will not be renewing until it is fixed. I only play this game for PvP which I enjoy tremendously. I refuse to pay for the quality of the PvP in the game right now.

We all asked a while back for a roll back to the patch version prior to 1.2.3 and nothing has been stated that it could not be done. Losing your early subscribers is not a healthy sign for the longevity of the game for a Pay to Play model.

If you move this to a Free to Play micro transaction...pay to win type title - you will not have anyone of quality to play against in PvP and people will not stay.

Time to admit the wrongs - fix them - or roll back the system.

This is not scientific by no means but I think it does show that PVP is a definate minor part of this game atm.... PVE is the part I think they are more concerned about ... Just a hunch ... But I do not think they are taking this lightly , but Im sure they are not going to drop everything to fix this...

That would be great if it wasn't also affecting PvE folks as well, although I'm assuming it's not affecting them as much as the PvP people and therefore they're not as vocal. Also the fact that pvp is the biggest part of endgame content at the moment.

I agree with what you are saying ImBatman ... My brother is having serious issues in PVE also, he has all but quit playing unless I am on so that he can follow me so he does not run into any mobs that are not rendering lol.. ...

However I think for the most part PVE is not anything like PVP is right now.... I think the majority of the subscribers in this game are PVE'ers therefore you are not seeing these posts on the Gerneral forums like you are seeing them in the Alliance forums and for the most part I think they are tired of seeing them .....

For many PVP is the endgame .. But also for many (majority) the end game is helping others reach the end game and general social aspects of guild lilfe and such..... Also many people reroll to play alts , until they have done all four classes...

I would guess that nobody except the people who wrote the software would be able to understand it without spending several weeks on getting up to speed with the code base. In the long term, it really sounds like a good idea to get some experienced skill into their software development team, but in the short term, this is a case of them having to sleep in a bed they made for themselves. So, let's hope they can pull it off.

That's mostly because the majority of the players that were here for the pvp have already quit. I'm only here for the pvp, it doesn't work, if it doesn't work after the next patch I will be out of reasons to keep playing.

They already lost subscribers because of the problems they introduced with craglorn related to pvp. It's been a decline since then. While pvp is insignificant compared to the rest of the game, they are really dropping the ball here.

    Very constructive.

Its something like 2 weeks tomorrow since this problem occured and 20% of the guild I'm in, pvp every night.

Getting killed because your fps is going down to 4, does not lead to an enjoyable evening. Yes bugs happen, but it's been unplayable now for two weeks.

To try and get round it, pvp players in my guild are relogging every 10 mins, at least by doing this they get about 17 FPS after a relog, before it gradually drops back down to 4 again.

It might not directly affect you, but the more people who leave for whatever reason, the less money for future development.

Two weeks is too long for PvP to be unplayable,
