ABOUT US - OUR GOAL

Folk of Tamriel is a community of roleplayers on the EU Megaserver of Elder Scrolls Online. We are dedicated players who seek persistent roleplaying within the world of Tamriel. This means that our members play the game to roleplay within all its aspects in so far as it allows us to. We do not break apart PvE and PvP aspects of the game from our roleplaying - we make them a part of it! We seek new and creative ways to approach these aspects of the game while remaining as true to our characters as we are able to within the confines of the games systems. Our aim is to create a fun and immersive experience while in game - not just for ourselves - but for all players of ESO! Yes, we even roleplay when dealing with non-roleplayers! We want to help create a living world as much as we can and we are always looking for suggestions and ideas from our members on how to better assist in that effort.

It is the purpose of this community (both in game as a guild and here on the forums) to provide you the tools to meet, share, and experience the world at large with these like minded players. How each of our members choose to use those tools varies from player to player, but we encourage everyone to take the initiative in settings up events or groups if that is what they are looking for. While we hope members will join us both in guild and on the forums, we do not require you to do both if for whatever reason you wish not to. However, due to how ESO works in so far as phasing and the size of the world, if you choose not to use any form of OOC communications (forums, guild chat), realize that finding others may prove difficult. We each get out of this community what we put into it - become the change you wish to see!

We utilize Guild Chat and our Forums in an OOC manner. Our members are not required to participate in guild chat if they choose not to do so, nor are they required to register on our forums if they wish not to. Guild chat is kept OOC to insure that members wishing to locate one another (or just chat while they play), can do so if they so desire.

OTHER GUILDS

If you are a member of other guilds then you are still welcome to join us so long as you understand the nature of this community and stay true to the purpose behind it. If you are a guildmaster of another guild that shares our views then feel free to contact me @peechwurm in game or on our forums at www.rper.org if you'd like to discuss working together somehow. You're welcome to post RP events on our forums for your other RP guilds as well!


The two founders of this guild come from a history of roleplaying in other games, some of which include: Neverwinter Nights (Battledale, Battledale 2, and Cormanthor PW servers), Ultima Online (Catskills server), The Elder Scrolls series, AD&D, D&D, Pathfinder and various other tabletop games. We feel our history in the games we've played lends a certain style others may be looking for in their ESO experience and have not yet been able to find. We look forward to the RP experiences to come in ESO and hope that you can be a part of them.
