Even if it works to infinity, the sheer volume of time someone would have to devote to gaining 2 SP every few days/each week is ridiculous. Not to mention having to delete and make new characters to spend another several days/week or more to get a whopping 2 more SP.
still an advantage none the less, imagine someone with a 100 skillpoints more then someone who hasn't used said explot. he can be several builds in 1 and max profs
There is a maximum amount of skill points you can have on each character, and it is less then the total amount of shards/points available in the game, or so the devs say.
So really, in the end, it wouldnt matter. If it wasn't so much work to get the +2 book then it might be a problem since people will skip shards and content and time to max their skill points out, but with it taking so long and so much work who really cares. By the time they get near their max skill points using this method, someone who just played casually will be at the same point, or perhaps even maxed far earlier, then the +2 book person.

I thought they meant the total number of skill points in the game, not a cap on characters. This also assumes the addition of new skill lines or perks to existing ones and new skill points in new zones.
So if Blacksmithing/Cloth/Wood get equipment up to V20, then they will gain enough perks in their skill line to suit that. Maybe the crafts will all have 15-20 "perks" in Crafting Level Skill?

Laz✭✭✭Not sure this is considered an exploit... Just an oversight. You aren't really causing any game breaking mechanics in this respect, just taking advantage of something that's already there.

I would personally rather not play a game where recycling alts every few days grants unlimited SP.

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:
- Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
- Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
- Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
- Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
- Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
- In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
- Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
- Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand0 -

Why someone would level X amount of characters to level ~40.
Has to do all the Mages quest line over and over again.
Just for 2 SP?
There is a cap at 300 SP. At VR9 without the skill book (freed Valaste) I have 250 SP.
Believe me they are more than enough to have almost all the crafts, all armour, all your main line and at least 2 weapon lines fully developed.

By the time some other player burns through 50 alts to get the +100 SP I will have every SP in the game, around 326 right now including all 50 PvP ranks, which will make the MONTHS TO A YEAR+ of work that player did moot. Which is why I said go for it, if someone is that bored and has that much time on their hand for something that is so insignificant, let them. It doesn't harm my game play in any way. That player will NEVER become "better" than me because with all SP in game right now you will have 100% passives, 100% Crafting, 2-3 weapon lines, and every other ability that you want and use on a regular basis all fully morphed.1 -

Isn't that the FINAL Mage quest in the game? As in, gives you a level 43 reward (in this case it's a +2 SP book). I finished both the Fighter's and Mage's Guilds at level 37 and it wasn't easy at all at that level.

If you save Valaste, would you still be able to use the book farmed by an alt character and get the 2 points?
