Someone complained that 100 aspect rune stacks were overpowered, and they nerfed them!

JK, it is probably just an oversight. XD

I would have 16 free slots in my bank right now if this oversight were corrected :/

I dont think it was an oversight, I'm pretty sure its intended but I'm not sure what their reasoning could be to support it being that way. Especially since enchanters get hit pretty hard for space as is since you still would want to carry lower level potency runes if you craft for selling to other players.

Considering up until last patch there were extra essence runes (Jaedi and Lire) with no translation which had duplicate effects of other essence runes... I doubt this was intended. There is no logic to it since the Aspect and Essence runes stack to 100. Every other material in the game stacks to 100. Why would Potencies be special?

EDIT: IIRC all materials used to stack up to 20 in early beta. Or was it 50? Anyway, the stack limit was increased eventually to what we have now. It's likely that Potency Runes were overlooked during the transition.

Also can anyone explain why if I use a rune that says adds 52 health, it only gives 25?

it seems you only get the full amount on two of your armour slots, I think they are legs and chest but could be wrong.

    Edit:

    http://dulfy.net/2014/05/11/eso-enchanting-glyphs-and-runes-guide/
Boots, Shoulders, Gloves, and Belt slot have minor glyph slot that will not grant you the full effect. Helm, Chest, Legs, and Shield have major glyph slots that will grant you full effect of the glyph

Enchants on Chest, Head, Legs, and Shield give the full glyph bonus.
Enchants on Shoulder pads, gloves, shoes, and belt give 40% of the glyph bonus.
Opinions are like buttholes : Everybody has one, and they usually stink.

    3 things to reduce stamina/magicka imbalance :
    - Use magicka to block abilities costing magicka, instead of stamina.
    - Add % damage reduction to heavy armor.
    - Add block penetration to 2H.

chest, legs and helm (large armor pieces) get the full benefit from the rune

boots, gloves, belt and shoulders (small armor pieces) get half stats, but gain full benefit from divines + impen (and probably a few of the other less desirable traits)

my guess is to keep players from stacking to many stats

Well and you obviously get the full enchant on jewelry and weapons as well. Yes only 4 armor slots give the full enchant (Head, Chest, Legs, and Shield).

Are you sure it's half @MarkSteel on the smaller slots? I haven't bothered to do the math, but it seems when I've enchanted it was usually much smaller than that. Somewhere in the 30-40% range.

That is most likely the reason for the 20 cap stack on potency runes. I hope it's increased to 100 like everything else.

And for 3 months of gameplay?

Maybe they haven't noticed it yet, or gotten any comments trying to bring it to their attention?
