If they let some posters make them "fed up and confused" this game was put in the wrong hands.

Agreed or perhaps handed on completion to the wrong hands

It's the lazy way out as always.

Instead of fixing class & build balance and adding better progression and rewards for completing tough content, they're just going to drop the HP & damage of mobs and think that will fix everything.

They haven't factored in the sub times too I'm sure mine will require renewal in the coming weeks. I've hit v12 I'm pretty maxed on stats ready to tank and now I really don't see the point, the point was the challenge , now... I can't see myself re subbing at this point and the game will lose a good tank while leaving behind the scrubs

If you are opposed to nerfs, I am willing to bet you play a DK, Sorc, or Vampire.

As they stand, they probably just need to go with 2 or 3 classes and make everyone a Vamp. ESO ... aka ...Twilight online :)

Sometime "nerfing" is the right option. Anyone who says otherwise just isn't clearly thinking.

Pretty much nailed every single problem with veteran content that they should be addressing before they even dream about making it easier.
Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

It is better to nerf one or two if they were considered overpowered, instead of buffing thousands of everything else. If Sorcerer is overpowered but you are -snip- enough to against nerfing them, then what you have to do is buffing every class with every class skills, every monsters, bosses and dungeons to make up them in the same line with Sorcerer. Would you do this if you were developer? Or you would just nerf Sorcerer?

All we can do is give it a try and hope for the best. Maybe they won't hamfist it. Maybe it will be subtle? I don't know, I am extremely disappointed in this decision as it is about the worst thing they could have done (ruin the fun because people that want to stand in fire and never change their abilities complain), but my sub doesn't run out until the 10th which gives me three days to test out their latest experiment.

Still, it feels like a loss to the "dumb down all MMO's to faceroll status" WoW crowd.

You see, the thing is I feel quite sorry for Zenimax. And indeed any games company. They are absolutely damned if they do, and damned if they don't. You have loads of people with different opinions, all convinced that they are right and nobody else's opinion is. They know how to fix the game!

Vet content is too hard! Too much of a grind!

What people have to remember is veteran content is partly on them. Back when ESO was first announced, with the factions, you weren't able to travel to areas outside your faction. People were up in arms about it. Zenimax changed it and tweaked it. People dislike the veteran content because it's too hard or too much of a grind.

    Zenimax are changing that.

People still hate it. I mean, there's so many armchair developers offering their solutions, and Zenimax is *clearly* listening to their players. And people still aren't happy. I wonder if *anything* would make most of the people happy at this point, or the hate is going to carry on to such a point that the game fails completely.

It's a new MMO guys. 3 months out and it's a work in progress. All MMO's are. No MMO ever comes out complete and in perfect working order. They're trying things. Fixing things. Yes the game has problems but I think it's a genuinely fun and good game to kill a few hours a week on, and I think Zenimax are now starting to really listen to people, take stuff on board and communicate more.

There's bigger things in the world to worry about, surely?

Welcome to MMO's where the majority, even if they're flat wrong, decide the fate of just about everything. Don't like that you can't solo everything including end game Raids, no worries start a troll thread about how your Class is underpowered or the content needs to be nerfed.

That is unless you're CCP who operates Eve Online. They love to laugh in the general direction of people complaining about really anything in the game. They have a specific vision for the game and it's nearly impossible to change that no matter how many players ask for it hehe.

Sometime doesn't mean always. And maybe this time is not the right thing to do.

Are we playing the same game? I have zero faith in ZOS' ability to do anything subtle, especially nerfs.

Yes there are but not relevant to our gaming. Today we have so much choice evenin this genre there is choice . I have 8 days left and need to choose to go another month or to quit . I have to choose basically between this or WoD or any other MMO . Truth is I love the persistent world and replayability

My brother is a templar killed 10 ppl 1 vs 10. He also has nb did the same. So all class need a Nerf or just ppl need to learn to play. His Templar solo a dungeon almost. He knows more about the game than me, he loves Templar now he had dk/sorc/nb he thinks Templar is by far better. I read on forum Templar sucks? Well tell him that. Learn to play. He does not post his build or anything. I can see why eso devs are confused becuz they see what all classes can do. When I play with my bro I am think Templar need a Nerf. He makes them look op seems like he was hitting ppl like like a truck.

My templar and nightblade alts are successful and fun, I don't know what the fuss is about. Maybe we should just ask for nerfs to forum complaints?

Great idea. Anyway it is not clear how representative for the entire player game base are the people that are constantly crying for one nerf or another.
