what is the Nightblade ability "cripple" supposed to do?

this ability is a little confusing for me. It says something like "siphons enemy movement and gives it to player" I used it before, and it did snare the enemies, but is it supposed to increase your movement speed as well? or just slow down enemies?

    I use the morph of that ability, Crippling Grasp, And from what I observed it slows the enemy down and damages them, I don't get any speed increase from it, But it is very nice to use.

    I usually cast Crippling Grasp and then I cast Ambush Followed by 2-3 Killers blade and 2-3 Whirling Blades. THat is enough to destroy a Player in craglorn or a V10 monster depending on how much critical damage you do. Its a really badass siphon move.

    ill have to give it a try then. I have 1 slot in my bar, and I want it to be a siphon, but cant decide what to use. Strife/funnel health is nice, but I want something... different

    Crippling grasp is really good for PVP I found. It's a dot, not a great dot, but its decent. The main reason to love it is immobilizes target for 1.5 seconds. This ability is absolutely essential for me when fighting certain classes (especially low skill DK talon/banner spammers). Dodge roll back, spam this skill, they WILL switch to ranged or they will die, without doing anything to me.

    Want to chime in on the Crippling Grasp morph of Cripple. This is a great skill when you are using bow and are kiting a mob. It must be broken atm because when i have used it in the past the boost to movement speed was very noticable.

    Crippling Grasp plus Silver Bolts(with the needed passives) was the only way i got past the VR boss version of the werewolf Foulchu. Hit him with bolts to knock him down and take a few shots. Then lengthen the gap between you. When he gets up, pop CG and then kite in an oval through the two archways.

    Very good skill if it works. I always tried to set it after that boss anytime i thought i would need to be kiting something.

    It's the single largest DoT a NB has access to currently in the game that isn't a weapon ability. And yes to the other poster, I think it's currently broken because I can say 100% positive it USED to give you a speed boost when you used it.

    I can confirm the speed buff definitely works. Try sidestepping while shooting the enemy with it, you can see your animation change. Make sure it's not one that tries to snare you right off the bat, though.

    Weird Crippling Grasp is on my NB bar 100% of the time meanign I use it on every enemy I fight and I'm not seeing the speed increase, but then again I don't kite anymore now that I'm Resto staff + Light Armor DPS build. I'll check again, but ty for the clarification @pinstripesc.

    Keep in mind too the speed buff will end if the target dies, even if it still has time left.
