Adding In New or Fixing the Old?

Imagine: You're Matt Firor for the day, and you call the programmers and developers together for a meeting about the future of Zenimax Online Studios.
You clear your throat and begin your speech:

"It's time we took a look at how we've been prioritizing our goals for the future of ESO.
We need to keep our existing player base, but also attract new players to the game.
In order to complete this goal.... (choose an option)"

I figure the content crew is completely different from their bugs/QA(or lack of) crew. I do think they need to test their patches a bit better first, I am fine with an extra week between big updates, but would like to see the content keep coming out.

FIX THE BROKEN CONTENT BEFORE ADDING MORE BROKEN CONTENT. Wouldnt hurt to also playtest any fixes they push out

Personally, I'd be ok with this as well. However, it seems that Zenimax is attempting to keep to a schedule that forces them to release content that still requires further testing and patching. These unrealistic deadlines are causing the existing player base to become unsatisfied with their gaming experience because of all the bugs the developers don't have time to fix!

If Zenimax continues to release content the way they have over the past 3 months, I am seriously concerned about the reputation the game will receive from its players. ESO is an amazing game... when it functions properly.

Not going to vote only because it won't matter how many people say it, some just won't listen. The team responsible for fixing problems with the game are in all likelihood NOT the same group of people responsible for creating new content, just as the PR department probably has no effect on how the HR department works. I myself would love to see all the problems fixed, and it's obvious ZoS is working on it. Sure it's not in the time frame some think it should be but that is their opinion.

If they would like it to progress faster, they should apply at Zenimax Online Studios to help the computer programmers identify (within millions of lines of code) the issues so they can be remedied. Outside of that, whichever department is in charge of new development will continue with whatever mandate they have while whichever department is in charge of software fixes will continue with whatever mandate they have, etc.

I agree. They need to back off from that schedule a bit. Sure Matt said 4-6 Weeks between "major" updates, but then how about the week or two of gamebreaking bugs we suffer through after. (Just to be clear though, I've had NO issues since the last patch. Though I can see a lot of people have) Though if they did that you know you'd have another group of people in here crying that ZOS is not adhering to their promises, yadda yadda. Poor *** really cannot win either way.

Bugs should always be the #1 priority especially the game breaking ones. If a player can't login or can't complete a majority of quests that should be a justifiable overtime expense. If players can't play, they won't pay which would leave any new content development moot.
