VR1 Gamebreaking Moment?

Hello there,

so I'm about to hit VR1... again. Yeah, been there once with my Imperial DK (playing for the Pact) and since I got somehow bored, I basically put that DK aside and invested into my new character, Imperial NB, which is now 48lvl. They are both kinda opposite characters - since i am sort of a role player, I made that DK reasonable, fair and righteous character, unlike my NB which is more of a evil, calculating, power lusting character. But again, at this point I feel like playing something else.

Maybe after 2 months of playing I haven't found my favorite class? Or race?
I was kinda concerned with Imperial race, but in the end, since I've finally found my favorite alliance, that be the Pact, I actually feel bad for being an Imperial, meh it's weird... I thought that NB would be in the end my favorite role, and it looked like it until just recently, where I started to imagine playing a Nord/Imperial Templar character, you know standing againts all the evil and stuff, that'd be easier. But what then? Starting all over?

tl;dr
Reaching VR1 is the breaking point in which I usually seem to end up putting an end to my character.
Now, I am sure I want to keep playing for Pact. But which race and class? Seems like Templar for the cool looking abilities and overall the feeling of fighting againts evil, and Nord to feel more like a Pact member, rather than an Imperial refugee.

I don't really expect what to expect here other than someone's opinion or experience

I am also putting off VR ranks for now. Currently I'm developing a couple of alts to level 45-ish, stopping just before Coldharbour, because I want to see the other factions' zones without the ramped up VR difficulty. The levels in other factions are simply more fun for me when they are not super tough. They are perhaps little bit too easy after having struggled through the same leveling process once with a weak NB, but that's mostly a good thing. I can now enjoy the quests while feeling at least reasonably competent at the game.
Trying a Sorcerer for the first time and seeing how much stronger that class feels than the NB and Templar, I am even beginning to think (perhaps foolishly, we'll se) that I can take on the challenge of running mostly solo though VR levels with it. In any case, with my pace of playing it will be at least another month before my Sorcerer gets there, so I'm not worrying about that right now.

Yeah, this sounds also cool, my level of role playing isn't that high however

it's just about my character, I am kinda unable to force myself to talk like an NPC and stuff... I've seen people do it and it felt weird.

Actually, what I wanted to do the first time is to have all classes at VR1 to have a real idea of what's each class about but in the end, there is not that much time for testing if each VR1 leveling takes me 1 month, that's around 4 months of "testing" and trying out and since ESO ain't free I cannot afford that

But I suppose I will do Nord Templar in the end...
Oh and btw, I've actually seen people on stream (especially Deagen's stream) to solo group dungeons with Templar, but I think that was back in beta. But anyway I feel like going that Nord Templar Heavy armor - Two handed weapon/resto staff and actually delete both previous characters (VR1 DK and NB) to clear things up and not come back to them again...
...ugh I'm terrible at this, takes me years to choose and decide >.<

Well, maybe sorcerers are overpowered, but - as a sorcerer close to VR2 - I haven't experienced the VR difficulty as "super tough". Yes, it's challenging, but doable. From time to time, I die repeatedly before finally mastering a particularly challenging encounter, but that's fine - it shouldn't feel too easy. One shouldn't be able to speed through the content without any difficulty at all. I enjoyed VR Auridon, am currently enjoying Grahtwood, and even managed to do a little bit of successful fighting in a visit to Craglorn.

From my perspective, the main advantage sorcerers have in this game are familiars. Having one or two of them running around with you takes a lot of focus away from the player when facing enemy mobs & bosses too for that matter, which makes 'crowd' control a lot easier.

Yes, Sorcerers are overpowered. But that's fine, because now I am finally playing one.

Also, I just noticed that they are scaling down the VR difficulty somewhat in the Monday and Tuesday patches. Overall, I think the game is homing in on a level of difficulty that should go down OK with most players, and I'm sure future content updates will contain lots of challenges for those who wish to test their skills against really tough opposition.

theres something to playing a Templar and swooping in at the last moment to save someone with a major heal that is very noble. Add in all those epic spear spells, survivability, carry a sword and shield or blazing staff and it doesnt get better than that for being a noble Knight, fighting the good fight, healing the needy and punishing the wicked

i havent yet played thru all the factions but right now Imperials are my least favorite faction, but that could be due to all the propaganda and one sidedness to my quests so far.

Thank you all for your responses, it's making the decision easier.
Now I'd like to ask - how's Templar againts Nightblade or Dragonknight at this moment? According to NB, he's been weaker lately and the only buff was to the "Path of Darkness" which does not really make him more viable, sorc's pets are kinda abusivable now from what I've heard, DK's are always strong though they've been through a couple nerfs now, but what about Templars? I haven't heard much of them recently. How are they now?

First time I got stomped in VR1? Trying to solo the Bad Man. That guy is a serious under-con.

Everything else was smooth sailing, without a cookie cutter build. (DK, 7/7 Heavy, 2hand sword in both slots, no Flame Lash, no Wrecking Blow, no Stampede. My main heal is the fade on Rally (Which I only get once every 20+ seconds. If I'm using Dragon Blood, then I did something terribly wrong.)

The other times I got stomped was entirely player error. (IE: Having to use Dragon Blood. Things of that nature.) And yes, I have died quite a few times, but nothing game-breaking has happened.

Yeah, I remember that Bad Man boss in VR1 zone Glenumbra. As a DPS DK it took me 3 deaths to figure out that the only way for me to kill him was Green Dragon Blood and potions, literally just kept running around and whenever he power attacked I blocked and hit him hard, run, repeat.

But anyway, let's just not turn this thread into how veteran zones are hard/easy right now, please.
So my question remains: How is Templar's current state compared to other classes now?
