$100 for this heros guide thing, and if you buy it you get 30 days free game time.

The 30 days free game time is a LIMITED OFFER.

I don't see how that's good considering the state of this game right now, with guilds disbanding, people leaving. If anything, I would have given 90 days free game time with it. And you could give the pre order people 30 days free game time, to get people back into the game.

I am disappointed with the way this game turned out.

Yes the books are very nice, but this is obviously a money grab. The limited offer of 30 days free game time isn't free, because in order to get it, you have to pay $100, and they've obviously put it at $100 to make a profit.

Who knows, maybe the books are worth $50 and you're in fact paying $50 more for it, with $15 of that for your next months subscription :)

If I had $100 to spend, I would get the book even without the free game time.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Actually it is the opposite of what you think. it is called a loss leader where in a business has enough faith in their product to take an initial loss believing it will "hook" the customer or more customers into more sales at standard pricing.

I see this as a very good thing and evidence that Zen has faith in this game.

So you're saying they're losing money when they give people this 30 days free with the books?

This again? They have a good product and they market it creatively. If you don't like it don't buy it. If you bought it without trying beta or reading reviews then caveat emptor. No one forces you to be here. If you do not find that the sub meets your gaming needs then go elsewhere to find something that does.

Every overpriced item had some faith in it, results. .. may turn out differently.

I never said I hated the product. Where on earth did you think this up?

LIMITED OFFER usually means while supplies last, they will make a printing with codes that wont expire, after that printing there will be no more. 30 days 15 dollars so it's an 85 dollar book, most likely custom made so would usually be around $100. sounds like a deal to me, hell maybe now I will go to quakecon for the free game and give to one of my friends along with the game time.

Yes this is a ploy to get more subs/game purchases, but this is a normal thing for after launch sub loss. only thin i can compare it to is WOW's free trial discs that used to be seen EVERYWHERE.

It's a pretty common practice of bilzz's to bunble games/ trials with other games and deals.

The books have been for sale since beta.

They cost 100$ then too(I bought them then).

The books are limited, hence the limited thing, not only the 30 free days.

They want to sell those books.

It is silly to assume that Zenimax has "broken" simply because they are coming up with creative ways to build revenue and increase subscriptions. :)

    Custom made yeah.

Theres 10,000 units to be sold. I bet they were all made by hand.

But fact is they are no way losing money from this.

My post is in a speculating tone, maybe if I knew about this book, maybe if someone posted a link about what they were complaining about, you know citing your work, Then I would be more knowledgeable

    Edit TY @Kewl

Edit2 Holy crap that looks cool, and there is a lot of stuff in there. defiantly worth 100$ but the price is a bit unattractive with out the 30 days, would usually only attract hardcore TES fans, with out the free 30 days

Those books are quite awesome, similar in quality to the art book accompanying the physical imperial edition. Imo quite worth it, and I guess the 30 days is just a bonus on top (ordered/received it some time ago w/o the 30 days bonus)

The added 30 days sounds like regular marketing to me, nothing special, and no indication of anything.

@kewl‌ yes I like them, the alchemy book were a bit boring though, no real lore value nor ingame, could almost have been for any game, the armour and other book I appreciate.
