Your logic is a bit flawed if you think a game causing fps drops to about a 3-5% of your usual framerate is well designed Mr.WhiteKnight.

There is no such stress in a game that should make your gpu going down from 65fps to 5fps Not a skill effect, not even 20 skill effects put in place. That would be moronic to say the least.

I can perform well over 60fps in a battle and then, suddenly, my fps starts dropping while I run in my horse back to the action. How is my horse supposed to make my fps drop to 5 and stay there?

And how is it that people reporting this issue are teleporting back to the entrance wayshrines where nobody is and their framerate is still messed until they relaunch the game?

Everytime I get a drop to 3-5fps from high 60s I just port out to the entrance wayshrine and my fps stay in the 16-24 fps frame for a long period or until I restart my client...

Sorry but my computer can handle high graphics but i choose to play on medium setting and i turn off shadows and have low spell effects ( i always do this for every mmo i play to get better fps ). I was fine before the 1.2.3 patch, i was able to play in zerg vs zerg without problems, so what's changed...yes the lighting.

I really like how people don't get sarcasm.

Now that you've responded to the comment I made, disagree that it's common logic and stated that it's ridiculous and plain illogical, please direct all this complaints of having complete idiots developing the game to the game developers.

Just to clarify on few of your comments.

@Archaon‌ We know it's ridiculous. It's even more ridiculous if you check your GPU. Also, the FPS drop is related to the amount skills casted, as dependency between the codes they use caused the skill effects to be enhanced when they pushed the lighting patch. You might also see certain skills or weird green blobs appearing everywhere that will drop your FPS. Not forgetting the objects will load so much slower as compared to pre 1.2.3. I've played the bugged game in Cyrodiil for the whole week, I believe I'm not the only one being tortured, neither are you. You're lucky your FPS recovers to above 5.

@bugulu‌ It's really funny to see that you responded to the comment and not being able to see right through it, then proceed to try to make a smart comment. Anyways, there are reports that the GPU goes off during massive battles, and the processes are instead assigned to your CPU. That might be what's causing the FPS drop. In some cases, the GPU comes back online and takes over which results in recovery of FPS, most cases it doesn't and requires a client restart. Not forgetting that the game is reported to run on no more than 2 cores, regardless of the amount of cores you have on your CPU, it will not be able to fully present the game in the best state your computer could render it.

All these issues coupled together and there you have it. The best FPS you have in game. /sarcasm (just so you could realise it)

That doesn't explain how i can run into a huge zerg with no problems at all, but suddenly can be running on my own towards a keep with a sudden fps drop that remains low even when i am near no zerg or action. Relogging fixes this FPS issue for about 20 minutes.

I really dont know what is causing FPS drops but one thing is for sure- it doesnt happen just in Cyrodiil. This fps thing happens in Craglorn as well and having lower performance then usual all over the tamriel - just in other places there is no such demanding tasks so its less obvious.
