For those who plan to stick around....

I began playing this game when it was in Beta phase, I wasn't one of those select few who had constant access. I'm just an avg pc gamer. I enjoy playing this game and accept it, flaws and all and I will pay my money. I dislike technical issues (FPS, disconnects) but will persist for a while yet. Sometimes if the FPS is too bad, I will stop PvP and go PvE or do something else. I believe ZoS wiil be looking to address the FPS issues, perhaps some don't as they've waited too long already. Your call.

There are those who yell and stamp at the game not being what they want, imo an ESO MMO was always going to be a struggle. This game is something I've waited for since Oblivion and my patience could be a result of that time delay.

Anyway my point of this post is to say for those who plan to stick around, I ain't going anywhere based on the game at the moment. I'm sure some will say, what a mug I am, once again your call. Some form of solidarity for those who still like/and play the game is needed, the constant forum gripes can warp perception.

My wife and I still play nightly. We both still enjoy the game immensely. We're almost 50 on our AD chars, then we'll swap to our EP characters and start the climb to 50 there.

We'll both keep playing until it's not fun anymore, whether that is weeks from now, months, or whatever. Yes, there are some things about the game I am not crazy about - but I could say that about every single MMO I've played since UO, and I've played most of them.

It's typical consumerism for those who are unhappy to have the loudest voices. Some people forget that those voices do -not- in any way represent the 'majority' of consumers: those cries only represent their own personal dislike of the product they are complaining about. Most people who enjoy a product - you never hear from them. They see little reason to post what a blast they are having, while people who are 'upset' feel quite the opposite.

I'm staying. Overall I have been pretty happy with the game and the progress. I have played pretty much every non-FTP MMO available in English, and am a ES (non-modder) fan.

There are issues and there needs to be a balance pass on the classes (I think every MMO in 10 years has had a major class balance pass after live players get their hands on everything and find all the cheap shots and dodgy moves) so I expect all the armor STA build and class stuff to get worked out.

VR monsters and especially bosses / mini-bosses could use a balance pass as well.

Mostly it is normal MMO launch stuff.

I will say I am angry for the first time over the last patch, the recent performance issues and the fixes that didn't actually fix... not to mention the slow response to them. After so much advancement, it was a really a shocking reversal.

My buddy and I still play a lot, despite getting frustrated with problems (mostly my frustrations, but it's because I love the ES series so much), and we will most likely be playing for a while. Despite drawbacks and problems we still find ourselves having fun, even it's more so due to making our own fun in game rather than the game itself providing it. I accept the fact that MMO's take a while to hit their stride, some longer than others, and as long as I am enjoying myself in game I will continue to support the product.
On second thought, let's not go to the forums. 'Tis a silly place.

I'm with you here, I don't plan not renewing my 90 days sub.

Yes, there are frustrating things here, some are more than others and I do believe the game could do much better but I also think and hope it will improve over time.

I still haven't started my second VR campaign yet, still have 2 zones till then. Maybe this is the reason why I still like the game, I did not rush. I was thinking once that maybe I should just focus on the main quests in VR zones since I am overleveled (I have sinned with Craglorn farming in hope it would make soloing easier with the then much weaker templar... It Didn't) but, as in other TES and Fallout games, I am a sucker for sidequests in this game. I was, and still am, too curious about the whole story :pensive:
Occasionally, I spend several hours or maybe a whole day in Cyrodiil which I also enjoy thoroughly, probably because I don't overdo it.

I think not overdoing is the key for me. ESO is not the only game I play, not the only MMO either. I usually don't stick to one game. I recently got a PS 4 with several games, I bought a quite a lot more in Steam Summer Sales so I couldn't be bored even if I wanted. I am also working so I have to divide a couple of hours each day between these. Still, ESO has a priority, especially now that a good friend of mine has started, and hopefully will stick along.

I can feel I will also start replaying Skyrim and the Fallout games. I do not think I will get to vr 12 for at least another 3-4 weeks. Even if I do and I would be bored... I want to try tanking, not just healing, so an alt it is!

I'm staying and I'm probably one of the most unlikely people to do so.

I've tried a few MMOs (friend dragged me in) and I pretty much universally disliked them. I'd play for 1-2 months if that. When plans for an Elder Scrolls MMO were announced, I was one of many who decried it. I signed up for the beta almost grudgingly.

Then I got in. I was cautious...not expecting anything good. But it started to win me over. I don't know what it is about this particular MMO that grabs me. It just does. I like the combat. I like the story. I like being in first person. I like the exploration in the form of lorebooks and skyshards. The PVP is fun when it works ;)

The devs have already made some decisions that I personally disagreed with design wise, but I'm still here and I'm still having fun.

I will be here too, ESO has huge potential even if it always stays in the niche category of MMO's.

I don't feel the need to pack it in just yet. If the problems that are occurring now are still happening in six months time I might reconsider but I expect this kind of turmoil from a new mmo.

Until then I'm here for the ride, bumps and all. :)

Great news, but who are you again and why should I care? I mean, yes, I plan to stay and I don't like unnecessary over exaggerated complaints, but the whole point of your thread was to tell us you're staying? Do you suggest we all make threads like this?

    You heartless beast.

My point was more that there are people who plan to stay despite all the loud negativity.

I have backed off on my obsession and now just play for a few hours a day. Should be good for several years at this pace. ;)

I did a few quite a few 12 hour sessions and many many 8 hour ones and that will burn you out a bit. Well me anyway, I'll be 68 soon.

Yup, I will definitely be around for a long time. Like everyone here has said, sure there are issues, but the good, the experience, the adventure I am having is eclipsing the bad. I have been fortunate not to have experienced any of the more serious bugs mentioned on the forums (except the Molag Bal issue) though.

I think the game is still finding itself, and so is the audience. I can't wait for the world as well as the players inhabiting it to mature (not an age or attitude reference). Then it will definitely feel like another world.
