Yes. I would want social clothing to be a new category of craftable item requiring the proper Traits for various cultural styles AND I would want it to be used in the COSTUME SLOT, not to replace actual armor.

Yes. I would want CULTURAL CLOTHING that is used in the costume slot and I would want to to be available from NPC vendors in each main cultural hub. For example, to get Red Guard styled clothing your character would have to go to Ali'kir to purchase it, etc.

I actually would like to have all options for social clothing that are stat-less. I kinda like how Rift does it as you can wear costumes and also use armor pieces in the "wardrobe" slot that don't add added stats.
You can craft things or get costumes in quests, seasonal things. Of course you can buy them for real money also ( :I )2 -

So a separate thing from the armor slots AND the costume/disguise slot? I just get the feeling that because this would be a MAJOR addition it's less likely to happen than either social clothing that has to be used in the armor slots OR social clothing that can be used in the disguise/costume slot. That is why I liked the "wardrobe" tab in Rift...use for costumes or for armor (specially robes and stuff) to be used as costume/clothing
But I would happily accept any clothing/costume that did not disappear in battle (and lost.)1 -

It seems more people would prefer it be craftable. I do like the idea that it be easy to acquire and that we could get any outfit we wanted via a NPC vendor but I know crafters would probably have a lot of fun making it. I do think it would actually be a really fun craft, especially if it incorporated the dye system as well!

Yes I think this is absolutely essential for RPers. But I've also run across very few players of any stripe who didn't care how their characters LOOKED and who didn't enjoy a customization option. I know TONS of guys who would LOVE to put their warrior girls in a fur or chainmail bikini and damn the realism factor! LOL
