Shornhelm Grain & Iron Peat?

I've taken up provisioning rather late in the game but am needing low level ingredients to start levelling.

Primarily needing Shornhelm Grain & Iron Peat but having tried looting crates/barrels/sacks on both starter isles, towns on Glenumbra & Stormhaven I have yet to find a single on of either.

Am I looking in the right areas?

Yes, except for Stormhaven, but they are only needed for L1-L10 recipes. What are you finding? The L1-L15 base materials are Meal, Drippings and Thin Broth. To make <L15 recipes the additional materials after that, for DC, are Capon Meat, Battaglir Weeds, Bear Haunch and Mutton Flank for the Foods. The DC Drink Materials are Shornhelm Grains, Iron Peat, Tangerines and Wasp Squeezings.

I often find a ton of both of those in Glenumbra. I think you can still find them in Stormhaven as well.

At any rate, you should probably look through backpacks, cupboards, cabinets and desks looking for appropriate recipes for the other low-level DC ingredients you pick up.

Hmm, is it possible that higher-level characters won't find ingredients that are such low level? I'd suggest creating an alt to go around looting containers in the inn in Daggerfall. That's where I collected most of my low level ingredients when I was leveling provisioning. Don't worry - it's not that onerous to pick up those ingredients, because provisioning levels fast.

Tested and the level is the problem. A fresh level 3 in the same area is bulging with the Shornhelm grain after 5 mins running round DF. Bit of an odd choice from ZOS but thanks for helping me work round it.

Thanks for checking. I'm actually starting to level an alt too, and she's lvl 20.
