'toon names?

If I have a 'toon named 'SomeDumbName' and I want to change race, or class, can I delete that 'toon and:
1.) Create another with the same name?
2.) Create another with the same name but only after a cooldown period?
3.) Never use that name again?
I'm at 8 with fighters and mules, and I'm just puzzling out my options.
Thanks for any insight here.
Edit: Too many oo's in cooldown.

ebondeath✭✭✭✭✭You can delete the toon and remake a character using the same name. You only get 3 deletes per day though, so choose your appearance wisely.

Chatoyancy✭✭✭Yep. The best thing to do is:
1. Create your new character exactly how you want it.
2. When done, do not save it -- go back to character select.
3. Delete the existing character you have that uses the name you want for the new character.
4. Click the button to create a new character -- it should use all the settings for the character you just created but didn't save.
5. Name it.
6. Done.
I always do this so that the name I want isn't made available for more than a few seconds. It's probably paranoia, but I really like my names!4 -

I know some First Nations types with interesting surnames that might break ... well, if not laws, then some .. rules or .. something, somewhere.
And then there's legal name changes. You don't think Alice Cooper was born that way, do you?
