If you zone into Cyrodil but have one active from another area, it stays with you. And when I see someone with a vanity pet I tell them to put it away.
So you're saying many people don't have even the slightest understanding of game development, and display their ignorance by getting insulted over something completely nonsensical. OK.There are many aspects to this online game. Yes, roleplaying is part of this and many people enjoy it. However, many people are insulted by the idea of cosmetic items being implemented into the game with so many other glaring issues.

Being upset that new content (whether it's cosmetic items or actual locations/quests) is added when there are still bugs that haven't been fixed is like being upset that the attendant at the gas station is selling gas while the mechanic still hasn't fixed your car. Guess what, whether that attendant is doing his job or not has no bearing on how fast your car is getting fixed, so he might as well keep doing his job.
It's the same with game development. There are different teams of devs with different skillsets. Trying to have the guys who create cosmetic items work on bug fixes wouldn't help in the slightest (and would probably make things worse, because they wouldn't know what they're doing).
How about a screaming humanoid/elf/orc/khajiit etc baby pet in a carriage. One we can take to the bank with us then park the carriage up right in front of bank teller and refuse to feed it so it screams even louder.
Just saw a guy with a pet cat, and then he switched to a pet dog. I asked him how he got it, and he said he knows a guy who tests stuff on twitch, and that these pets would be coming out next month. I can't wait to get that cat!
Obviously, based on some posts in this thread and in many other threads, there are a lot of people out there who have no idea that there are multiple teams working on multiple things. And frankly, if you know that, but your perception is still that things like this shouldn't be added, then your perception is flawed, and the problem is with you.Establish a better argument than the "there are mutlitple teams working on a,b,c". Everyone who has ever played a game is fully aware of this. The issue is perception.
No, it says "we're working on improving various aspects of this game." But I guess if each thing they add to the game isn't something that you specifically are interested in, then that means that they're saying "we don't care" because they should be catering exclusively to you, and not cater to people who dare to enjoy different things than what you enjoy. In fact, the sign that a company is committed to improving a game is that they simultaneously work on bug fixes, balance issues, new gameplay content, and new cosmetic content. There are so many negative perceptions about Zenimax that throwing fluff out says many things to those who want issues resolved, to those who WANT to give them their money. It says, 'We don't care.'.
Really? You've never had your car break down in a small town, say in the Midwest, where you had to get it repaired at the gas station? I guess that never happens in the states. The gas station analogy is bad also. We do not take our vehicles to get repaired at the gas station here in the states. You know why? Because you get what you paid for.

So no one has said, "Oh gosh I am tired of fixing issues...Imma gonna go make some guar pets!!" They would have been working on these things for a long, long time.
Now give me a huge silt stider so I can send it stomping some people...yeah that would be awesome *goes to dreamland.*
