I really think whoever is in charge of things and makes the decisions...Paul Sage, Matt Firor etc... should be removed/sacked/whatever as they are every day making terrible decisions which are making the game worse and losing more subscribers. Because of them the game is a mess.
Yes it was released far too early, and yes we are all paying to beta test, but it is still save'able. I love the game and I do think it has the potential to be truly great, but not with those people in charge...they are slowly killing it with every decision they make. Sooner or later the suits who control the money will see this.
Give the job to someone who listens to the player base, takes on board their concerns, communicates with them every day about their plans. Someone who actually reads the forums and knows how modern MMOs should work and what modern MMO players expect (ie not spending half of your play time trying to manage your inventory, decent useable rewards for our play, a lag free pvp experience, a proper easy way to buy and sell things to make a vibrant economy, some balance etc etc etc...)
This is a different MMO yes and has many many amazing things but the things that are really good are ruined by constant bugs/niggling little things that spoil the fun, and bad bad decisions by the devs (like nerfing things to combat bots which also make player experience worse, lazy endgame lack of foresight, and many other things too many to mention ).
I honestly think those in charge at the moment have no clue and are killing what could be a great game.
Judging from the amount of issues that are "personal taste issues", I am beginning to think some people just have bad taste in games.

We can't live in a lets get it out the door, and make money and fix the bugs. The biggest issues is the beta, never went further than a few beginner zones. So the later content never got tested. Sorry, you loose.
F2P here we come.
For every guy like this who sees the sky falling, there are 50 players *playing* who are thoroughly enjoying the experience. They don't stop to post "this game is great", they just play.
My wife and I left out of frustration earlier on so I know the feeling, but we came back and realized what we were missing. There are still annoying problems, but the positives vastly outweigh (for us) any negatives. The game is great and full of promising potential. I still yell at my screen from time to time lol, but there is a reason we both keep coming back.
As for population, one thing you will notice is that players gravitate to efficient hubs to call home. For the AD, the town of rawl'kha in Reaper's March is always fantastically crowded because it is the best town in the game for quick access to way shrine, bank , crafting stations, merchants, etc. The bank is ALWAYS overpopulated. The gamer population is there, they are just more efficient than you realize.

For the record, I agreed with exactly six of your gripes. The rest are either things you call problems, but I've yet to run into them, or personal taste issues.
You have this long list of complaints, but offer no solutions, so you're just complaining based on personal dislikes.
THAT is what makes your post "complaining to be complaining".

I do not want to accuse anyone of anything, but I must ask, how many times must I repeat myself? This game is only 3 months old...it is going to have issues, just like any other new game. In fact, I ask you to do the following...go to any other game (Be it World of Warcraft, Rift, Star Wars: The Old Republic, whatever) and for those who played World of Warcraft, Rift, et cetera, et cetera, in the first 3 or so months, ask them the following question: What issues did the game have? I bet you 90% of those you ask will tell you issues that are quite similar to the issues Elder Scrolls Online has right now.
When you are done, you will come to realize the following truth: New games, regardless of size of game, the size of the developer base making said game, and the number of players playing said game, will have many issues, but it will get better later down the line.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Sincerely,
An Elder Scrolls Online player

Let me also speak in a formal tone.
In 2 more weeks, I will have been testing/playing this game for 1 year. There are others that have been testing for even longer.
It would be understandable if many of these issues were only 3 months old and only related to launch. Unfortunately, a very large number of items discussed in this thread have been going on for as long as I've been testing. Not only have they existed, but they've been pointed out, discussed, argued over, fought over, and quit over.
ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Just edited the note regarding Silver Bolts to clarify that the 100% proc rate against werewolves is not intended, and will be fixed next week. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused!
Before the Mods move in this is not a quitting thread (I'm not quitting)
I am however not playing the game while it's in its current state !
Craglorn is a dead zone, literally. Yesterday (a weekend, prime time day) was rubbish there. Pretty much impossible to get a group, chat was almost non existent, anomalies are still a joke since the nerf ! (they need to be set back to how they were before)
VR zones... don't make me laugh ! I was in a VR9 zone and I can honestly say I saw about 4 people in nearly 5 hours. Tried a couple of times to engage in conversation but nothing. (not saying these peeps were bots, they weren't but they certainly weren't friendly either) Don't know if it was a stealth buff or a bug, but as a couple of threads have pointed out VR mobs are doing more damage than before the patch. Players (the few there are) are spending more time running back to repair and/or dying than they are enjoying the game !
Cyrodiil , well I got just 3 letters to sum up that area... FPS ! ! ! (say no more)
I made a quip in some other post about being on the forums is more enjoyable than playing the game. looking back at the comment... it's sadly true ! I'm having more fun/interaction with other players here than I was in the game (and for that to be true there is something definitely, seriously wrong)
I can't even say that I'm eagerly awaiting Monday's fix. Honestly.. my main thought about Monday is "What else are they going to break?"
I'm not normally a quitter, but I have to admit that thought is bouncing round in my head. When Blizzard, Trion, CCP said they were going to fix things, I never found myself doubting that. I don't have that confidence in Zenimax !
Honestly... I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Like I said I'm not ready to quit yet. I'd still consider renewing my sub (maybe reduced from a 90 day to a 30 day though) Or maybe it's just time to take a break?
Ah well, that's my thoughts thrown out there. (feel free to Rage, Flame or Comment)

I can't think of a game launch in the last ten years that did not have this exact post on their forums
I do, I'm taking about the person who made the post. The points are valid, I want this game to keep making progress, but it doesn't need whiners to do so. You shouldn't excuse their behaviour, some people above did have valid points without whining. I was mainly taking about the creator of the postDanteVFenris wrote: »Whine whine whine, I feel so privledged and needed. When I don't like something, the game is broken. If you'd actually had the manners to read through all the posts, you'll see the majority of them bring up points that affect the community as a whole !
But considering your comment, I'm not surprised really that you obviously didn't

Wazah! Agree!! All these people frustrated with by and large legitimate issues!!! <Takes another pull from bong> Don't they know that if they get blitzed like us that it won't even matter what game their playing or what kinda shape its in they'll always have a good time!!
Me and you brother gotta stick together!! You keep posting on this thread I'm gonna go to a few others to let all them peoples know that their issues are not important either!!

I was trying to be funny. And really get real, are everyone's complaints legitimate issues? What about conflicting issues? I see people who want one thing, then others that want the opposite. What's the fix for that? I wish people could comprehend English, your putting a load of *** into my mouth that I didn't say. Heck I didn't even imply half of that. I was just trying to replicate the behaviour of the whiners, which yes some do sound like that.
Is this game fun? Yes. Can it have improvments? Yes. Is this game as broken as the community thinks it is? No. The game could have a bunch of fixes and constant improvments but that doesn't happen over night now does it? Trust me I believe a lot of the whiners make good points, but it's dramatizes as hell. Don't give me bs saying it isn't. A bunch of boys having fun being drama queens. I want this game to change for the better I never said otherwise. Again was just trying to replicate a percentage of the player base.
